Was browsing Ebay and noticed a CS in the background of a photo. Talked to the owner and he stated he owns 2 CS's and has owned a few HCS's. Check out what he has done to this CS, I think it is cool. The motor is a 66 K code mustang engine (similar to a Shelby engine). Interesting

That is interesting! Did he leave the Lucas lights on the front or remove them?

It's a nice job but, I don't like the way the hold down locks run at an angle up the fender plus the gap that show's. To each his own.

My first thought exactly. With the time and money he spent he should have been able to come up with a better solution than that. Sort of looks like a Peterbuilt hood. Or was it intentional to show off the fact that he has a tilting front end, even when it's closed?

Looks like we have a generation gap battle going here. The baby boomers vs. whatever generation David and Jason are.

Ok, here is what I get from the internet.

Baby boomers born from the mid '40s to the mid '60s
Generation X born from mid '60s to the late '70s
Generation Y born from the early '80s to the late '90s

The MTV generation, also called generation XY, filled the little gap between the late '70s and early '80s.

Generation X, Y, and MTV are all part of the "Me Generation"

regardless of the generation , you have to accept that someone has put in a lot of time and effort to create something really SPECIAL

I had a 55 F100 pickup that we chopped the top 5 inches and it had a hydraulic tilt front end. The nice thing on the pickup was that when you tilted the hood forward the inner fender and everything went up so you could sit on the tire and change the spark plugs or do maintenance. It opened up the engine for you like it was sitting on an engine stand. Sure was fun in the day to cruise the blvd and when someone pulled up next to you and asked you what you had in it you just reached up and tilted the hood forward and showed them.

I would hope so or it would be really heavy and you'd need a hoist to lift it.

I wonder if there wouldn't be some way to run the joint along the black stripe, then run it down.

For some reason the baby boomers cut off is in either in '63 or '64. Don't remember. Maybe it was when Kennedy died?

Depends, my 55 pickup was all steel and included the inner fenders also all steel. It wasn't bad at all to manually tilt the hood, the pivot point was located back about 14-18 inches from the front. The bad part was the back of the fender would scrape up the body when you tilted it. When we chopped the top we clipped the fenders and welded them to the body to eliminate this issue similar to this Mustang but it looked natural when we were done and we had the spring loaded latches on the inside.

I'll post up some pictures in my album today, I'll try and find some interesting ones.
