I don't want to pick the man's car apart in a public forum. It looks like a really nice car. I'll PM you with what all I see wrong from the photos. Stated again, have it looked at by someone knowledgeable of '68 Mustangs. (All the specific C/S items look correct to me.)

Those black plates are way to early to be original to the car.

All of his auctions are No Reserve. He buys cars that he can get cheap, usually a distressed seller needing the cash, cleans them up a bot, fixes some little things, then lists on Ebay.

I remember 2 cars he bought off ebay, couple weeks later, listed them. Each case made a couple of $K.

Whoa!! That could throw up a big red flag for potential buyers. I would only hope that he wouldn't sluff off something big, bad, and ugly on the car's integrity. What's that old cliche' : "Buyer Beware"?
I hate being the eternal skeptic, but I've seen (and heard of) too many automotive atrocities commited, covered up, and denied. Johhny B. , are you listening?

The mouldings are OK. It's just the fact that the car is upside down.

What a beautiful car! Are there any other cars in the registry that had the order type "company lease plan" listed on the Marti?

License plates are definitely incorrect for a 1968 California anything.

Supposedly starting in 2009, the state of California will allow these license plates to be installed on cars 1963-1969. The proposed rule being that the plates have to fit in the year of issue range. A guesstimate for 1968 would be VAA001 to XZZ999.

The air cleaner on this car is incorrect for a 1968. AFAIK.
The one installed on the car looks like a 1966 California or 1967 air cleaner.

anyone have a record of a 428 CS being sold at BJ?

Think UUR 555 might work with California DMV

This one just sold for $18,100...I decided not to bid, though it was tempting.

Johnny B. (still looking)
