Hey Mr.Holmes.Since you're not afraid of heavy projects, how about a real 68 "J" code GT conv't project to go along with your CS? About the same $$ as your CS? It's rusty, real rusty, but Marti report backs it up as a GT.How about a hard to find 9 inch 3:25 posi rear,4 speed and candyapple red to boot, also backed up and present in the ride? Lotsa repro sheetmetal to go along with it.Has 5 sets of matching #'s to the title.I was thinking of pulling the 9 inch and 4 speed and transposing it over to my A/T trans CS "J" code car but now debating. The conv't is too steep a project for me.I even chickened out on my CS and found an original Calif one,98% correct original parts.I can't handle the rust on projects I guess.I don't think I can neither handle ruining a rare, mostly complete 68 real GT conv't by taking parts and selling the shell.Oh well...good luck with your project CS.These members on this site have been a big help to me.I never would have gotten as far as I have on my CS without them.I'm not patronizing them either. These friends are the best!

I have a hood for you

Well, I finally found my CS after many late nights tracking sale websites- I bought the primer one from msark in LA. I'm so excited, can't wait to pick it up on Sunday! Anyway, he said it has a new hood with it and the old hood is still on, which i guess has dings in it? But as i said i am 5 miles from your car, my husband said he can attach it for you, that is if you haven't shipped out the car yet? I'll send you a message with my # and you can call me and let me know!
p.s. i just checked my sellers info and it says the hood was for a 67, so no holes. but if you want it just for shipping...I can let you know the condition of it after i pick it up.
