Hi All,

Nice site, I've enjoyed reading the posts over the years! Although this is my first post here, I've had my HCS for some time and registered it with Bob in 1992.

I am looking for some information regarding the lucas lights. I am in need of a set and may have located them. The seller says they came off a California Special. However the lens say "Made in Italy." Does anyone have any information about 'Made in Italy' instead of England? Could these in fact be correct for my car?

Thanks for the help!

Lucas (aka, the Prince of Darkness- if you own a British car, you know what I mean) is a British Co. I would guess that the lens or whole assembly are made by someone else, either a repop or outright forgery. My lens say "Lucas" in the center and "England" at the bottom center.

Lucas Lights moved to Italy , I think that it was after 1968. I'm not sure about the date. The lens should say Made in England or just England on them.

You're welcome. I hadn't heard that Lucas has moved to Italy. I was under the impression that they were doing the wiring for Sterling and Land Rover well into the 90's. I'll have to research that one, just to satisfy my curiousity.

PS. Hey SeattleHCS, we should meet up somewhere, sometime. I'm just on the other side of the state from you.

Steve, would be great to meet up. I don't get to the eastern part of the state much, but let me know if you are coming this direction. Email me any time.

I go to Yakima quite a bit to visit my son and grandson. I'll let you know next time I'm close and sometime next year, Goldie wants me to come up to BC and visit, so I may have to take the tour.
