Got my new Shelby CS69 rims today. 20x9 and 20x10. Center caps have "CS" in red in them so matches my rear emblem. (NO SNAKES) Still waiting on tires. Here's a sneak peek.

Wow....are you sure you didnt photoshop the tire tread onto the rim?? How is the ride with those? I would love to go higher rim size on my 68 but will proly go after market wheels.

Ha! You can see I have the rim up on blocks and the factory rim is behind it. I'll let you know how it rides when the tires get here. Should be fine. I've seen alot of pre-'70s using '99-04 wheels, mostly 17" Bullit wheels. You need to use spacers though because of the off-set.

What tires are you going with? My brother was telling me the tires on his 08 Shelby were $1000 each...as he was doing a nice burnout!!

Snowing? Its a freakin heat wave here is SF...transformers blowing and transpo delays. We are wimps here in Cali.

So I knew you would need spacers but I wasnt sure if there was anything else to rock em on the 68. Im just wary as I have seen alot of threads with rims size issues and tire rub.

I would love to do deep dish but at this point Im only savy about deep dish pizza.

I'm going with 305/35/20 Nitto drag radials in the rear and 255/35/20 Nitto 555s in the front. About $850 for tires.
Whenever I built '67/'68s I used either '68 chrome GT wheels or 15'' Magnum 500s. '67-'69 Shelby 5-spokes also.
I bought 2 sets of Bullit rims with tires last summer for $500. from a guy. Used 1 set on my Ranger and the other on a '94 GT conv. I had.

Got my tires mounted and finished my mods for the spring. Installed a Steeda Tri-ax shifter with a pistol grip handle and a Magnaflow catted X-pipe also. I had the tires filled with nitrogen. The ride with the 20's is better even with it lowered. The drag radials hook up nice.
