Say What?

I'm not following this. How can the Shelby be sold if it's not street legal? Doesn't Ford have a legal obligation to sell the Shelby that can be registered? Help me understand this approach.

I'm dying for one of those things! Found a couple of "left over" '07s, but I saw an over-the-top and side-stripe delete back '09 coupe that I went so far as to inquire over...the only problem with the car is the price tag!

OOOhhhhhh it's the KR. Ooooo.........I'd like one too. That's a GREAT window sticker!

We had a KR, wait, a Shelby Super Snake 600+ thing at Roundup and it was so HOT that the owner never left its side. Let me see if I can dig up a photo.

that kr has alot of nice options, most of the 500's that i have seen don't have the hid headlights, ambient lighting and the shaker 1000.
there were a couple of 07 supersnakes, a kr, and a terilingua at park city, they look really nice. to bad a person couldn't get one for sticker price.

OK, but back to the initial question: What's the "not street legal" statement supposed to mean?? Surely the car could be registered & driven. Right?:undecided

That car is set-up to be converted into a Super Snake. If the Kenne-bell supercharger with 725hp is added it becomes non- legal and no warranty. It can still be tagged, just good luck getting a inspection sticker. Add about double to start to that price for one. Most I've seen are closer to $175,000.
