Believe that the UCA's were natural. And the LCA's part black (dipped) and part natural, near the ball joint. The drag link, tie rods, idler, all natural. PS ram natural steel.

Anyone got photos of OEM? Or what would be considered a "correct" restoration?

Painting the parts off the GT/CS and would like to get "close" to original to the casual observer.

From my MCA rulebook: "Upper and lower control arms may be all natural or may be black with ball joint ends natural. Sway bar is black."
Marty or Mike would know best. Here's a couple of photos of the last suspension I did.

When I restored our HCS I wanted it to be as close to as assembly line correct as I could make it. I removed the rust from the parts with Evaporust and then lightly coated with Bosheild that is a clear paraffin and oil preservative. If you media blast to will loose the natural metal texture and color along with the heat treating and weld marks. I also have pics of the drive shaft restoration if interested. Marty
