Perseids Meteor shower

Just came in from watching a bit of the Perseids Meteor shower. The moonless night made it easy to see the beauty streaking across the night sky. Saw a quite a few smaller meteors tonight and some really nice large ones, although it was nothing like Saturday night into Sunday morning. There were more spectacular meteors that night, leaving their faint, fleeting trails of light. The conditions this year are about as ideal as you can get. Well worth the loss of sleep.

Just curious if anyone else ventured outside in the middle of the night to have a look.

I tried to check it out but it was cloudy where I was last night.
Should continue for the next few nights I think.

I read that you should be able to see at least a few meteors all the way through August 22nd. Maybe the skies will clear up for you soon.

I just know that I saw quite a few out where I live. I am away from most of the city lights. However, I am paying for my lack of sleep today. Had to get up early for work after getting very little sleep last night.
