Once again, learning the hard way. Just tried fitting a new repro GT valance on my C/S. It's about 3/4" short on the right side, and the left side contour is wrong. I think I'm going to use my original valance, and just splice in the exhaust cutout areas. MIG weld, smooth, prep, and paint. I've never had much luck with repro sheetmetal parts.

I recall another thread talking about fit issues with a repro valance.

Yep, I remember.
I'm having the original valance plasma cut to accomodate the GT openings. The new repro's are just not very good: ill fitting, thinner gage metal.

Rear Valance Update:
Tomorrow I pick up my re-worked valance. I used the original valance, having the re-pro exhaust cutouts Mig'd onto the original (after being plasma cut).It is finished, painted to match car color (Meadowlark).
An expensive mod/upgrade: $400 for dual exhaust installation, $40 for re-pro valance that didn't fit, $350 for original valance re-work & paint, $90 for GT exhaust tips.
When I get it all put back together, I'll shoot some photos so you can see.
