Found this on craigslist. I'm bored and waiting for my car. What else is there to do to pass the time?

<<<<For sale 1968 Mustang S code coupe. In the middle of doing a California Special Restomod, but ran out of money and time to complete. Most of the hard work is done, and the car is driveable. Freshly rebuilt 390 FE big block using excellent quality parts. The block is not original, but the cylinder heads are (C8AE H).

I spent well over 3K in building the motor. It is a 1968 truck block standard bore, freshly honed. The rods are C7AE B which is the heavy duty 428 PI version with new bronze bushings installed. The crank is a 1970 truck from a camper special .10 under. Of course the entire assembly was balanced including flywheel to dampner.
Pistons are forged flat tops approx. 10.2 to 1 ratio. Heads have new valve guides, retainers, springs, valves, and were professionally machined/built at Amaral Machine Shop in Fremont, Ca.
Cam is hydraulic with an approx lift of .536 and I think, 292 duration and 112 degree overlap. Fairly rough idle, but streetable.
Intake is an Edelbrock Performer RPM, Holley 750 w / electric choke. Cobra accessories.
GT grill added, Cobra Jet hood scoop installed, fiberglass trunk lid with correct 65 t-bird lights installed (still need to adapt wire harness, but it's all there.) Pop open GT gas cap, Styled Steel wheels custom painted to match the color I was going to paint the stripes(blue) New BF Goodrich radial T/A's.
Many new parts throughout, too many to list, some installed and some ready to install. All glass is good and have Marti report and license, insurance etc. Car is 1 of 1194 built with this engine trans combo.

Came with floor console (still in place) wide ratio four speed and 9 inch rear are both original, and like I said it's driveable.

Feel free to call with any questions or to come by for a look. 8K is a reasonable price, so let's not waste each others time with low ball or tire kickin' ok? John @ 916 521-7554 evenings 'til 11 ish.
