This is one of those "little things" that bother me. One of the two phillips head screws that mount into the front of the scoop is missing. Is this something I could pick up at a hardware store, or is it a special screw?

Thanks.

IIRC they are a oval head stainless screw. The head size is pretty critical, at least it was on mine, as putting them back on there was just a hairs breadth of room to get the head into the depression without scraping the sides and dinging the paint...

I think AMK has them, but I'm on the road and have no references to check the part number....

Thanks for the information. I just checked the AMK website and they state that the minimum order is $30. That's not going to happen as I only need one screw. Anybody got a spare they would be willing to sell me?

I have tons of Ford oval head chrome plated screws. Post a picture with a tape measure next to it. I bet I can match it up. If so I will mail it to you for free of course.

Thanks so much Rob. The car was painted in 2005 and the three scoop screws are painted over quite heavily, so I am somewhat afraid to remove one for a picture. Is there any other way? Does the GT/CS book show enough detail of the screw for you to match it?

My car has one original Ford side scoop and I have two original Ford spare side scoops. I will pull one of my screws and match the best I can. I will send a couple for drop-age!

Give me you address to mail them to. here or in a pm.

The screws they show in the GT/CS book on page 107 appear to be longer and with a point. I can't find any size specs for them. Does anyone know the size of the screws in the book?

That being said, the screws you are showing would probably do the trick to fill the hole.

If you think these ones will work, that's great. I just noticed that the ones in the book appear to be longer.

Thanks Robert. I really appreciate this!
