OK, it's time to vote for the 2011 CS.com Calendar. Choose your favorite 12 photos. Remember, you only get one chance to vote, so pick your 12 carefully.

The top 13 cars will have their own month or cover. (I give the choice of the cover shot to the car with the most votes)

PLEASE READ: To help see the images better I've set up a preview page:http://californiaspecial.com/calendar2011.htm Please look at those full size images closely before voting. You might want to print out that page and choose your top 12, then come back and vote.

I'll keep this poll up until late on Sat Oct 16th. When voting please pay attention to which checkbox goes with which photo. The checkbox is to the lower left of each photo.

Thanks to all those who sent in your photos and good luck!

Why am I not able to vote on this calendar?

I recall from last year that there are a minimum number of posts someone needs to have before they vote.
Jon (admin) instituted this just to make sure people didn't stuff the ballot box. Send him a PM and he'll help you out. He'll probably see this and reply.

Here is a post from last year's calendar thread...

Yes, there is. It's to keep people from signing up with multiple accounts to stuff the ballot box. It hasn't been a problem on this site, but is on another I run so I implemented it to be safe.

I'll PM you. It's not intended to keep out legitimate members.

Thanks for your hard work Jon.

Sam

...A big Ditto here too.
At imes like this, it's fun to reflect on Jon's humble dedication and the enormous results ie: information, cars acquired & restored, friendships, events and etc......... For years! And yet he seems so unaware.

With every successful car show and all accumulated admiration, I think its high time Jon accepts his share of the blame!

You're all set to vote now. I'm not sure why you weren't before. Your account was old enough and you had enough posts. I'll have to look into it.

Thanks and you're welcome to everyone else. It's great to see those amazing cars on the wall each month. Yes it's work, but you all are worth it.

OK, this has been cleared up for all members now. If you can't vote for some reason please PM me, but it should be fixed.

We've never had a tie for the cover. If it happens I'll ask both parties for their preference. If they both want the cover I'll probably play the "admin" card and make an executive decision.

Another option (or 2) ...

If there is a tie for 1st place you could always use the 3rd place winner instead!

All kidding aside, you could always post the 2 tied pictures in a new poll and have a "shoot off" vote to decide between them ...? Would that drag it out too long? Do you have a deadline from the printer to get the calendars published?

I do have a deadline, so that might drag it out too far. The problem is I need to put the calendar together and then order a proof. The proof takes a week to print and then it ships to me. If all goes well with the proof then I order the finals and the timing is all fine. If there's any kind of problem with the proof I need to correct and get another proof. Then the timing gets really tight.

Nice job everybody! Great pictures! Voting was tough!

Maybe we need a CS/HCS bi-weekly calendar to get all the cars in

Thanks go out to Jon for organizing this each year! Great job and I know appreciated by all!

Thanks to everyone for submitting those great shots. The top 13 (12 months + cover) have been sent emails asking for more info for the caption.

If you didn't make the top 13 you'll still be in the calendar! The remaining photos will be included in a collage on the January 2012 page.

It will take me a few weeks to get the pages put together, order a proof, etc. ETA for shipping to you is early December in plenty of time for Christmas gifts.

I'm going to do the ordering a little different this year. I'm asking that you pre-order the calendars you want instead of waiting for them to be in my hands. Last year I ended up with about 30-40 extras. I don't do this calendar to get rich, but I definitely don't want to lose money! So this year I'm going to rely heavily on pre-orders to estimate numbers. That means if you wait to order there may not be enough left.

I'll post the order form up in a week or so once I've confirmed pricing.

Thanks!
