Celebration time! After the debacle and failure of the red 390 GTCS purchase, insiders helped me find and buy a known 1968 GTCS. I am the third owner, with the original owner being Robert Whiteman who was a fellow club member. The car is featured on page 139 of the GTCS book, and was also part of "The First 200" on page 191 of the book. Bob took exceptional care of the car, was awarded a Silver in a 2011 MCA show in California that I have previously Chaired, and was sold in 2019 to a second owner. It came home with me to Washington State this week.
The car suffered some minor paint damage in the 2014 Napa Valley earthquake and was repaired at the auto body shop owned by the future second owner (there was a post on this car being seen in Napa at the body shop). The car is all original, as is the mileage.
