Why No Bids?

Any thoughts on why no bids with 1 day left?

My thought is the starting bid is too high as a starting point.
Or the color doesn't show up well in the pictures.

Other CSs recently have been pretty active even the one that was primed with no paint was in the teens and going strong.

Just curious to get some thoughts on it.

Personally, I think this is a good looking car for not a bad price, but I'm into green. He might be near/at the $22K mark right now if he'd started the auction out at $100, with a reserve of $22K. Seems like bidders/buyers are always leary of auctions like this--no reserve and a "reasonable" asking price (read "high" to the bargain hunters). There could still be a sniper waiting for the last 2 minutes, tho, which is what I would do if I were wanting to buy this car.

This car has been listed on e-bay twice before. I exchanged e-mails with the seller.
1.) No Marti verification posted, although it's probably authentic. But who buys a C/S or HCS without verification?
2.) He thinks he's got a $30K car from the tone of his e-mails. LOL

This car has some nice options; including interior decor group, headrest seats, air conditioning, and 302-4V.

This is one of those "how not to list a classic car auction" auctions.
Very little research, and virtually no detailed description of what they have for sale.
No mention of VIN or engine size. I got the 302 part from the air cleaner lid.
I am going out on a limb here and am saying that it is a J code 302-4V. It very well may be the one F code 302-2V with C4 that Kevin Marti has noted in his book - Mustang....by the Numbers.

Nice car, with supporting documentation and a little homework, this car could see a frenzy of potential bidders.

If they would take the time to clean up the engine bay a little I think that would also help this car sell. Myself, I'd be ashamed to list a car and have the engine bay looking that bad. That's just my thought on it. Even when I bought mine out in Seattle even though the motor was shot and leaked a lot of oil they at least attempted to clean the engine bay a little.

I also exchanged e-mails with the seller. I asked what the status of this car is and I fully expected to receive a reply with something like - it is still for sale and the price is XXX; but the response was it is still in the garage.

I really wonder if he wants to really sell it. Maybe he is just throwing it out on eBay to see what it is really worth. LOL

I guess that I'll keep loooking.

I agree the engine bay could've used a good wipe down. That stuck out for me too.
