Our club's show was a success on Saturday.
A record 164 cars showed up, the most in 24 years.

I took the CS and my 96 Convertible.

I also had a chance to meet Stang32 (Paul). Sorry we didn't get to talk more but was glad he tracked me down. Paul is the guy that is going to fix up the CS that was backed into a pole if you recall.

What a great site for the show. It was on the banks of the Hudson River.
It was a tight fit for some classes as we didn't expect the huge turnout. They usually average about 100 cars.

Here is a link to my photo album of pics from the show:

(remember to click on View Slideshow for full screen shots)

Attached are pics of my two cars and Paul's car at the show. He took home a trophy in his class! Congrats!

Thanks Tim! It was a great day.
Unfortunate for me I had to work since it was our club so didn't get to check out the cars as much as I would have liked but I did get around to take pics of just about every car.

Thanks Rhonda! I love taking pics! Especially at car shows and cruises.

It's funny you mentioned that about the little dolls. I was thinking as I was taking pics if anyone would ask that question.

I'm not sure if it's a Northeast thing or not, but they are very popular for people to have them as part of their show displays here.

I've seen them called Hide and Seek, Peek-a-boo or Timeout Dolls.
They're on eBay and other sites but seem to be made all over the country.

Here is a site with some cool versions for Car Shows.

Tim;
I've seen a lot of those doll's used here in Ohio also. I noticed when I was down at Nashville for the 40th anniversary, they had a lot of them there also. Some folks make some pretty neat displays with them.

Don

I really don`t see the attraction.

The first time you see one in person you'd probably do a double take. Some are pretty realistic looking but only 2 feet tall or so.

There's a guy around here that has a fully dressed mannequin in the back of his 50's Chevy all decked out, drive in movie speaker, food tray, etc ...

It's just a thing ya know ...

Great pictures Rich!

They have used those dolls here in CA for many years...I can't stand them! Sorry, I just don't get the connection of the doll and a car show. :ponder:
