Rob, a little known fact.... Ford actually used a Rochester Quadrajet carburetor on 1970-71 429CJ's.

Actually I knew that! They are great carbs! Great gas mileage and good performance. Very simple to work on!

What is the convertible powered by? Has stripes that make me think of an Eliminator?

How about a Hound and some cat pictures? Maxi the plott/walker hound is an old girl, Titus and Cosmo are brand new and a hoot.

Yes, popular to put the Eliminator stripes on convertible Cougars. A Cougar Eliminator convertible is a car that Mercury should have built. Much like a GT/CS convertible, should have been built by the factory.

Salmon River at Riggins, Id., Aug. 2009. There is beer in a 160 qt cooler right in front of me. Notice the smile? I was taking my chiropracters office staff down the river on a day trip, so I had a boat load of young ladies to keep me company that day.
