I have read a lot of info here and other forums regarding the proper finish of the trunk. There are some pics from an old thread that won't open. Does anyone have good pics of the "anti-rattle board" under the trunk mat? Also, a good location for the "gaffers tape" holding down the fuel sensor wire on the right wheel well. How would I stich the trunk mat if I had nothing better to do? Has someone done it? I'll take all the feedback I can get trunk related. I do already have the cardboard covers behind the taillights, the screw protectors, and the rubber on the harness tabs. Thanks!🐎🐎🐎

1968 trunk mat was either a splatter pattern without stitched corners, or a grey felt mat. A very few very early cars used left over 67 plaid mat that had stitched corners. The gaffers tape was placed on the RH wheel well somewhere near the center. The line worker did not care to be exact. You may find pictures of the anti-rattle boards on concoursmustang.com doing a search. Do you have the anti-rattle clip on the trunk lid torsion springs?

I do have the clip. Is April 4th considered early? Do you know the width of the gaffers tape? 3/4? And, without a build sheet, is there any way to know all the details? Clock, consoles, etc. Thanks as always Marty! Missed you in Cincy!

3/4 - 1 inch. A Marti report will have a lot of that information. If you have a deluxe interior the clock was part of that option. No, I would not consider April an early GTCS.
