I have some Scott Drake door lock grommets. They rattle like a son of a gun.

Any thoughts on installation techniques? I am about ready to install 67 plastic grommets.

After you guys fix this, I have more rattles!!

An engine with less horsepower would create less vibration resulting in less rattles, mine doesn't rattle at all. ;-) Oh never mind that!! Go fast!

There are SS ones with felt inside. Look great and do not rattle. Marty

...I have to agree with Cory on this one Rob. Your door lock grommets appear to be only the latest issue w/ this...

Rob;
It has to be the Ferry Service hitting the off-load ramps too hard and jarring your car too much. I would complain.

Marty, can you give me a source? I hate rattles!!! I hate exhaust leaks of any kind!!! Gotta time those Ferry rides without minus tides if you have low hanging headers.

Automatic slamming into gear is definitely not conducive to helping rattles!! I have an annoying rattle in the trunk area. It is not my defroster. It is not my exhaust. Not my speakers. If I kinda thump on the panel between the rear window and the trunk lid it seems to be from the inner panel under this panel. I have put all sorts of hose on the trunk springs to insulate them. I thought it might be in the trunk hinges. About ready to saw a piece of wood and jam it in between the lower panel and the panel I described.

Thoughts?? I am going insane!!

does the door move up and down when the it is opened, if so it might be that the holes have elongated from the worn out grommets. Might nee to be replaced
