1968 What paint for the Lucas tube stands?

Thanks guys! exactly what I needed. When it comes to the pop rivets, are the brackets fixed with two rivets on the upper side and two on the bottom of the brackets? can't really see on the photo. And is the grille supposed to be painted before the brackets are fixed or after. What was the...

1968 What paint for the Lucas tube stands?

OK, the front is disassembled. Unfortunately the wide grille moldings were killed by the L-washers, so I've ordered new standard ones and will have them painted with the tube stands, grille and marshal brackets. For Sale May be a GT/CS

+ The grille trim looks like chrome and the Rear quarter CS scripts seems to be mounted very low. My guess it is a clone.

1968 Introductions - And bringing one back from the dead

This was my impression as well, same block, different heads, but then again I have never checked the casting of my heads.

1968 Introductions - And bringing one back from the dead

Aha....makes some sort of sense. Guess I have to stand corrected on the heads as well. So when I got the suggestion to go with 302 heads for the engine rebuild that someone meant what? Boss 302 heads?

1968 Introductions - And bringing one back from the dead

Isn't the cylinder heads different between the 289 and the 302 as well? I'm lost in translation here so I need to ask what a piston "skirt" is??

    . From Steven Wright

I would challenge statement 3. Average is almost never the same as median. The average number of legs of the worlds population is 1,98. :)

For Sale Meadowlark Yellow CS on Criagslist

A bit off topic...my car is the same color and same color of engine compartment as this car. Does anyone know if this is the original color of the engine compartment (black) or was it originally in body color? /Jesper
