    . MCA West Coast Nats

Met (think it was) Jeanie at the show this weekend for a quick moment between judging cars. Good luck with the show and if I can do anything to help let me know (have some some judging seminars up there in the past) Show will be great as usual - see everyone there

    1968 Smashed Special

Of course if you want to be just like the factory the interior colors were applied before the exterior colors and edges will indicate accordingly. As mentioned by Neil most use a base of satin black as a base for the original Dark Charcoal Metallic (what Ford called black interiors) Remember...

    1968 Head Casting Numbers

Correct this was a 50 state thing in 68 and included some automatic equipped cars also in the Mustang line up

    . Coca-Cola Fleet Mustang?

Looks like a maintenance tag from a Coca-cola delivery truck. Likely IMHO a PO worked for the company and placed one on his daily driver

    1968 too many questions

    1968 68 CS/GT Convertible for sale!-??

Though they appears to have been no convertibles built at the factory (subject has been discussed a few times before) IMHO there was likely at least one dealer that built some but no documentation has been found at this time that I'm aware of

    1968 428 Engine Pics

Very similar Most of the parts are the same ones - don't recall if ALL the pulleys are the same ones

    1968 Car Alarms

Unfortunately it takes about 3 seconds to cut with a small set of bolt cutters to remove the Club. Getting into these cars is more noticeable IMHO that removing one if the windows are up and the car is locked. Sorry the Club (like most alarms) at best discourages only small kids with no tools...

    1968 Cylinder Head for 390

By July 68 I would guess that the C8AE-H head was what they were using, Sort of a utility head since it came in all sorts of configurations (number of exhaust bolt holes)

    1968 Bay Area GT/CS Owners

In allot of states Anti Stalker laws limit what you can get from the DMV legally. Aren't movies great ;)

    1968 Shop Manuals

All great ideas. I would add the following 1- Decide where you are going with the car. Driver, show car, concours..... Changing your mind will cost many more $$$'s tor be wasted later in the game. Also what the end should look like will guide your choices through the process. Making the wrong...

1968 Frame Resto: Where to Weld?

Paul I'm a little confused (nothing new) Your mixing adding "welded sub frame connectors", "preserving originality" and "restoring"?????? Did I miss something? If not, I don't think the two go together and might not fit the book - unless it's going to be a "How to Modify your Calif Special"...

    1966-67 HCS 1966 gt

First the subject is likely not one that should be expanded upon on a Cal Spec site IMHO but I'm just a guest;) As for the list offered in a response above I would say that none of the list is the best or more important than another since many do not, on their own, prove or disprove a car...

    1966-67 HCS 1966 gt

NO And I don't believe there has been a documented "dealer GT" found. IMHO if they are not being forthcoming with this detail there are other "things" that they are not telling you also. ;) No Thermactor systems in 66 were installed at other plants also.

    1968 brake drum color

Dark cast finish on the cast surfaces with a shinny machined surface around the edge of the brake drum. As Danny mentioned the faces on cars with styled steel wheels were blacked out typically with a large brush dipped in semi-gloss black applied in a sloppy manner with the drums installed on...

    1968 Interior Paint Color Help

Though Fords name for it was black they applied Dark Charcoal Metallic Poly on the painted sections of the interior starting in 69 ;)

    1968 Interior Paint Color Help

Can't really tell much from the pictures - digit cameras and monitor setting change too much. If they do look different from one another the only way they could have gotten that way IMHO is exposure to the elements or repaint since both surfaces would have been painted at the same station at...
