Which to choose: 1968 GT/CS or HCS?

Rare HCS is my choice (assuming everthing is equal...including paint color). But a better choice is to buy both! Scott

Galpin GT/CS 40th ANNIV. DETAILS for 4/19 EVENT

Thank God there's not a picture of me anywhere. At the Galpin event Casey organized a silent auction for the event banner (signed by everyone) and a diecast GT/CS signed by the man himself (Paul Newitt). I was fortunate enough to win the car. There was another gentleman bidding towards the...

Is the J-code more desirable, even if its not a GT?

I'd say it is. Certainly not as desireable as an S-code, but still more desirable. I recently bought a non-GT 302 GT/CS and I assumed that it was worth more than a 289 non-GT when making my decision. I think I decided that it was worth an extra $1K-2K to me. For what it's worth, I've had...

GAS GT/CS Party ONLY for GT/CS cars and Owners

Paul, Thanks. I've been looking forward to it and I'll be there. Can't wait to see everyone. BTW, great job on the window decals. I was worried that you weren't going to make a HCS one. Glad you did. You are a talented guy. Scott

GAS GT/CS Party ONLY for GT/CS cars and Owners

I was unaware that I had to RSVP if I just wanted to show up without a car. So, am I understanding correctly? If I didn't RSVP that I would attend can I come or not? Scott

    Multiple CS/GT Questions

The paint stripe on 1968 CJ Mustang hoods (CS or other) is 15 1/8 wide at the front and 17 3/8 wide at the cowl. This is confirmed by my original paint HCS. Here is a page out of Mustang Monthly that confirms the numbers on my actual factory painted hood. Hope this helps. Scott

Off to Pick-Up my New GT/CS

Thanks for all the comments. I love the Lime Gold. Missed out on buying a GT500KR convertible recently in that color. Hey Tim. We used to shoot down B-29 drones here at China Lake. When I started working here in 1985 there was boneyard of B-29 hulks on the base. Got to go out and look...

    GT/CS Mustang Illustrated May 2000

There's now way that California black plate is correct for a 1968 car. And he has the rear plate on the front of the car. Front plates didn't have the stickers on them with expiration month and year Scott

Off to Pick-Up my New GT/CS

Well I just got back from picking up the new GT/CS. I purchased the car from the original owner (WWII B-29 pilot) who bought the car from University Ford in San Diego on 9/8/68. The car came with the original window sticker, purchase order, and glove box paperwork (owner's manual, warranty...

    Happy Birthday GTCSMustang

The problem with having my birthday on the 16th and St. Pats day on the 17th every year, is that the older I get the harder it is to get drunk two days in a row. Thanks for all the "Happy Birthdays" Scott

Can you "feel" your Rear Spoiler's Downforce?

A little of topic...but I swear my car runs better after it's washed.

Can you "feel" your Rear Spoiler's Downforce?

I doubt you're going to see much "real" downforce from the spoiler at normal driving speed. I did some quick calculations and at 60-mph the spoiler would produce about 10-lbs of downforce. At 100-mph the downforce increases to 26-lbs. The spoiler produces as much drag as downforce. The...
