    1968 AC Firewall Question

Everyone! THANK YOU! Doug and Scott - thanks for the photos. I found out that I am a complete moron - for like the 100th time while trying to put this car back together (some places like the 5th time). I had only put the rubber seal up to the fire wall and did not check fit the metal plates...

    289 to a 347?

I am not sure that the skirts are long enough for a 347. I talked to a couple of machine shops and they really recommended the 302 block to stroke to the 347. If yours is a 68 289 it is highly likely it is a 302 block as they started building 289's with C8OE castings in mid 67.

1968 Emblem location on quarter panels

There is a drawing in the latest registry book but for me a little vague on the "zero" line. I pulled the pattern off another GT/CS to get it right. Make sure you find out if yours is the early (Feb 68) or later GT/CS

    1968 Bonnie and Clyde update

+1. I can see the vents in two of the photos too. If the floors are solid, I would leave the coating in place for a driver.

    1968 AC Firewall Question

I will try to get a photo of my firewall and ID the holes. I have plugged the heater hose holes already. It is the 4 bolt holes that the heater fan motor bolts to (for non-AC cars) that I am trying to figure out how to seal.

    1968 AC Firewall Question

I have the large gasket and two-piece metal plate, but they don't cover the 4 small bolt holes. Sorry - I wasn't very clear in my original post.

    1968 Brake Pedal Bracket Mounting

OK - I am stumped a little. My Jim Osborne book doesn't show me what I am looking for - or maybe, I am just not accepting what I see. I am installing the brake pedal bracket/assembly and I expected it to also bolt to the dash. However, the book doesn't show any nuts on the "top" of the dash...

    1968 AC Firewall Question

OK - so I am moving onto the AC unit...I am wondering if there were plugs for the firewall where the heater-only box mounted. If so, where do you get them? If not, how did Ford seal the cabin?

1968 68 CS... Salvaged title... Worth resotration?

I checked out your photos. Very restorable and looks really complete. Fog lights are the only parts MIA that I can see based on the photos. A new auto trans console top can be found easily. I say go for it!

Looking for a good set of trim rings for SS wheels...anyone know where to look or have some you are willing to part with?

    1968 Distributor and exhaust

OK - Getting closer to the end of my rebuild...a couple of questions foe the experienced folk for the j-Code: 1) Do any of the mustang catalog companies offer a dual exhaust package worth buying or should I go to a local shop. My concern with a local shop is their lack of Mustang knowledge...
