Another suggestion to cool down the switch (after the burnt up one is replaced) is to switch to LED taillights. I did this with the sequential type LED taillights and love them. They twist right into the taillight sockets ----No changes required to any wiring. You can search for several...
Robb, Way to go! You are going to have so much fun working on the GT/CS and showing it. Is that a tilt steering wheel?
Also, if you could post a pic of the Marti report in your gallery? Thanks, Casey
Early GT/CS (before mid-February) will have painted edges on the rear reflector and it is flush to the rear quarter panel. After this time, the rear reflectors extend out from the quarter panel and have a chrome edge. Casey
Thanks for the lead Russ. I have done a lot of business with Larry's. I called and bought a set. I always wanted an extra set in case one of my originals "walks away". Casey
I know how you feel. Mine was one of one with deluxe hub caps. woo hoo!.
I wonder why your window sticker is a different style and why the CS package is priced higher? I think all the ones I have seen show the package priced at $194.31? Maybe your dealer got a premium? (see pic of my...
I have not received any responses for the HCS frame except those I already mentioned in the previous post. Are there only 7 HCS owners interested in frames out there? If so, I ordered WAY too many HCS frames.:undecided Casey
BTW, it has been discussed on this site that some engine blocks were NOT stamped at San Jose in 1968 - possibly earlier built cars. Mine is one of them (I even have the engine tag - but no VIN stamp). So, "numbers matching" is a misnomer for some 68 cars. It's a 289, and there were millions...
I narrowed it down to: Mustang Monthly, Mustang Times, Hemmings Musclecar, Mustang Enthusiast.
I used to take, but gave up on: 5.0 Mustangs, Mustangs & Fast Fords, Car Craft, Hot Rod. Casey
This is only my opinion - The $32k asking price is probably $5k above going rate. I don't think you could find this car, in this shape for $10k, and likely not $20k. This car appears to have original paperwork (including the window sticker). This looks like a $25k-$28k car at the latest going...
No scratches on that baby! :icon_pani That is the high gloss reflection of the rocker panel of my '66 mustang sitting next to her in the garage. :thumb:
Somewhere there is a thread where someone asked for what a scoop looked like with a witness line, and without a witness line. Since I have one of each, here they are. No witness line on the left. Witness line on the right. Click on picture to make larger.
From the picture with the witness...
Hello Everyone,
The HCS License Frames voted on are now in, and look great!! These were voted on so they would apply for all three years of the HCS - '66, '67 and '68. See pictures below.
The frames are custom metal cast and chrome plated - only the best for our cars- they are not plastic...
It looks like the pictures are now getting released by MustangSource. Here they are: A few more than last time, but still no tail pictures. Here is the link:

I like the one that says "California Special". The view of the car from both angles is a good idea. And I like the one with the four cars and the High Country Special Badge. You are very talented. Thanks! Casey
