    1968 Vibration

Insulator to support bracket bolt torque spec is 35-50 lb-ft. So, not it should not be loose.

    1968 tail light bulb sockets

Found this stuff a while ago, all I can say is everything I have used it on has either been pre-treated by a PO with anti-seize, or it just works really well.... never going back to WD-40 after the results I've had with this...

1968 What bulb for dash brake warning light?

Hmm.... can't seem to get one to go in. Thought it was odd they would use a different bulb there.... Will take another look, maybe the socket is damaged.

    1968 Vacuum

Two grommets? Should just be one for the check valve. Many OEM valves had to taps, and then needed cap. If that is what you mean then yes, buy the right part. This shows the correct grommet style, tapered end at the booster side, groove to clip into the body. The taps are wrong...

1968 What bulb for dash brake warning light?

Not the optional E-brake one, but the one connected to the distribution block switch. Not the same as the other dash illumination. I have looked in every ref I have and poked about on a few vendor sites and the interweb and can't find mention of it.... ???

    1968 Deluxe door pull bracket

If I ever sell it all mods are documents in thousands of pics. (besides, I was slack and did not fabricate a FoMoCo stamp to label the part!!)

ISO Father's old Ride - Please Help

And then... "Time for a road trip...." I get your goal, but if the person doesn't want to be bothered, let it go. I sure would not be happy if someone pestering me for one of my cars failed to get the hint and showed up knocking on my door. Or if the DMV was passing out records to anyone...

    1968 Deluxe door pull bracket

Thanks, perfect. That is pretty much what I thought it looked like. Based on the photo I can fabricate a strap. I am converting a door, and getting the part close is all that is required.

    1968 Deluxe door pull bracket

I've misplaced my Body FAM somewhere, but recall seeing a small brace screwed to the door to hold the rear mount for the deluxe door pulls. Anyone got a photo of one installed, and even better, dimensions. Need to fabricate a pair.

1968 Tilt column door switch location

Thanks Marty. I test fit the switch into the existing jamb hole for the courtesy lights and it fits pretty good. But will definitely drill a scrap piece first. I bought Jack's tail panel boards and they are fantastic. A few other times from him too. Unsure if the system I have works, just...

    EXP500 Repli-bute...

Thanks for the comments. I have a dual quad setup I was going to use, but went for a OEM Ram Air setup on a 428PI as the plenum is under the hood.... it will be a stroked 390 (445) with 428CJ exhaust and the PI/w ram air and finned Cobra valve covers.. so should look somewhat like a 428 to most.

1968 Tilt column door switch location

Thanks very much for confirming. Looks like the hole should be identical to the one for the courtesy light switch. Have one which was painted but polished up really nice. Stainless face, black plastic knob. Came with the setup, which was amazingly complete, only missing items were the vacuum...

1968 Tilt column door switch location

Not GTCS related, but for the EXP. Have an OEM tilt away in, and need to drill for the door switch. There appears to be a tiny dot/punch mark below the existing switch. Did not measure but maybe 1 - 1/2" down. Is this the correct location to drill? Anyone got a photo of a door jamb with the...

    EXP500 Repli-bute...

Making a bit more progress... Engine Bay about ready to drop in the filler piece; Tail panel and rear almost done (gas cap stick on badge, rear window trim) Interior coming together And, finally, the wheels went on today, still need center caps and proper lug nuts...

1968 Replace radio and speaker, with air conditioning

Dash pad does not need to come out, but the AC "Y" duct does need to come out. At least I found no way to get the speaker in or out with the duct in place in my '68 coupe... Glove box is optional but does give some extra access.

    1968 Engine bound up...

Been side-tracked trying to finish the EXP as all but puling the engine did nothing. Show for the EXP Oct 24th, so the GTCS sits under a cover until after that....

    1968 Random Suspension Questions

How are you going to drive it? As Marty notes as long as the original part is not damaged or corroded they usually scrub up fine. If a daily street driver stock parts work fine.
