    1968 Front End Alignment

The original specs were done with bias ply tires in mind. Altering the settings for radials is a common tweak that results in improvements as you note... In general, more caster applies more centering force to keep the wheels tracking true... negative camber also helps maintain true tracking...

    1968 Taillight bulbs

Need a few for the EXP and noted a discrepancy in "the book". Calls out an 1156 in the text, but the picture notes 1157 printed on the bulb... I think its an 1157, but don't want to order the wrong parts. Anyone confirm the right part? ???

    1968 Deluxe seat belts?

And if you are buying shoulder harnesses they setup for the belt webbing was a bit different. Not the same as the base units. Do you have the stainless spring clips at the roof line to hold them in place?

'68 deluxe had the chrome surround. Some photos here... http://www.pythonrestoration.com/Ford_Belts.php

1968 Door tag date code miss stamp?

All? You've checked all 371,422 other ones? "should be" 2/1, but as noted, mis-stamps are well known...

1968 Door tag date code miss stamp?

And as door tags have been available repro, that look pretty much exactly like the originals, would ask if all the other numbers on the tag and all Body VIN's line up with the Marti.

1968 Door tag date code miss stamp?

Mis stamps, while not a regular occurrence did happen from time to time.

    1968 pony fell through hole

Well, you may be able to have the small handed one reach up behind the dash and find it. Replacing it is another matter. Probably going to have to pull the cluster.

1968 Blue & Yellow License Plate Questions

Plates would have been stamped in batches and distributed across all DMV's. So at the same time, very different numbers would be handed out, depending on location. AAA 101 could have been in LA and at the same time DDD 999 was being handed out in Weed.... a general timeline may be able to be...

. another chapter in the engine puke saga

After the garden hose flush there was probably water left in the block and heater core. If you put coolant in and got "water" out, as you note, it shows water left in the system was being displaced. If you run it to a temp to open the tstat it should settle, cranking the engine a bit won't do...

1968 Use of Lead instead of Bondo

I'll defer to the many high end restorers who I have spoken to who don't use Bondo everywhere (not just talking Mustangs here). There are reasons to use lead. Two web examples here which note some reasons to use lead below; http://www.willhoitautorestoration.com/leadvspolyester.php...

1968 X codes and Registration errors...

Hmm.... so seems a "variable". Had a hard time with the brake line hose and clip, ended up drilling a hole to use the S code one I had, but it does not line up properly with the hole and lines for the clip. Wish I had a pic of the original, but tossed it as the shop cut the line when removing...

    1968 8r01c142589

Only the Marti will tell if it a real GT, but it has the tips, pop open and hubcaps. Hard to tell from the photo the size of the sway bar, but looks larger than the weenie stock 289....

65A W 2A 15B 71 2 W GT items, AC, some odd things in the photos (funky horns!), but looks reasonably "survivor-esque" in many ways... Not listed here...

1968 Use of Lead instead of Bondo

One-size-fits all answers are generally simplifications. Lead provides material properties and capabilities in some restorations that bondo can't do. No expert, but in speaking to the "metal man" over the years at the shop that does my body/paint there are areas on many cars they will not...

    . still pukes

Yep, run it with the cap on and see what happens. 213 is going to do it, boil water (as you indicate using water assuming no coolant yet), which is not really "overheating". If you have a car running fine and take the cap off at operating temp.... = old Faithful... so put in your preferred...

    1968 upset upset

If that is the biggest problem you have in the restoration, be happy. Imagine how it is when the part has been shipped 8000 miles, took two weeks to get to you, and will probably cost as much as buying to ship it back!
