    GT/CS CJ

That is a great point (the 428 coming in late in the year about the same time as HCS's) , and not something I factored into my thinking. I will pitch in to get the number from Kevin M. You guys let me know, and I will ask him for a price (if someone hasnt already done it). I would guess...

    GT/CS CJ

OK, thanks for setting me straight Bob - So, to summarize: 9 HCS with 428 CJ ? GT/CS with 428 CJ (2 known in registry) I might guess that if the percentages were the same that nine 428 HCS's out of 251 HCS is 3.5%. So, 3.5% of 3867 GT/CS's is one hundred and thirty five 428 GT/CS's...

    GT/CS CJ

Bob, so if I read your post right: 9 GT/CS with 428CJ of which 5 or 6 are in the HCS registry, and 2 are in the GT/CS registry? But, there seems to be a disconnect that Kevin M found 3 that are not in Paul's 2 in the directory? I left you a direct message as well. Casey

    Is this used for anything?

Yes, you hang the carboard divider on them. There should be some at the top and on the sides. The divider will have slots that are in the same places. You still need to cut holes for the seat belt bolts at the bottom. Casey

    Car Show Pics

Here is how I decided to do the poster. It draws people to the car to start the discussions. I added at the bottom (printed on my computer in large font) a piece of paper under the glass that says, "GT/California Special. Developed by Shelby, Built by FORD. One of 3867 made." That pretty...

    Car Show Pics

Great car! Grab one of those original GT/CS dealer posters found frequently on eBay. I put one in a $9 frame and lean it against my car and it provides full proof of the car. At last weekend's show I even saw a dad read the poster to his 7-8 year old son and then remark that this must be a...

    GT/CS CJ

Wow - I didnt know this was such a tough question. The only one I have ever seen is Bob's, and HCS. I havent seen a GT/CS CJ. I guess we wait on Bob as the guru on this one. I would seriously love to find one in good shape to buy. Casey

    Real Test For GT/CS

Good luck Don. I have also come to realize that I enjoy talking to people about this rare car more than worrying about a trophy. I used to worry so much about trophies on my 66 convertible (and have a few), but the cal special is so different - I just love talking about it - trophy on it is...

    GT/CS CJ

I know this is in Paul's book somewhere. But, does anyone know how many CS 428's there were? How many are registered? I am sure Jason would love to know for the same reasons I am interested. If there is one for sale (original) in good condition, I would like to know. Casey

Victor Ford Show - Shelby Prototype

Here is a pic of a Shelby prototype at a local dealer show. They would not open the hood (they claimed it was secret), but did crank it and it sounded sweet. I sent Jon lots of pics of the show for the gallery. Casey

Can anyone top this job for exciting?

OK...I admit, Rhonda's story is hard to top. That is just way gross.. :P But, when I worked at the funeral home as a teenager I was able to get all the left over flowers that I needed out the dumpster in the back to take to my girlfriend on dates (and she never knew where they came from). I...

    New GT/CS

Arlie, I love the idea of originals meeting if/when FORD rolls out the GT/CS. The press would be all over this! FORD should pay us to come. Detroit, California - wherever, I would get my car there, even if I had to ship it. I can see the commercial now: 05 mustang does steve mcqueen in a...

68 GT Coupe and 68 GT/CS Diecast Model

Here is a summary explanation of the two. I guess I always thought the 351C was a big block - but here they are calling it a "big small block", whatever that is.... :). And, sorry Don for pulling us so far off topic. :-[ Casey Now a Ford 351 Windsor is really a slightly enlarged Ford...
