    an absolutely beautiful color! :D

    GT/CS Origins.....

I am not an expert in this area. Only from what I learn from Paul. But from his books I see that Little Red is denoted with GT500 and is noted as in the SAAC registry, and Green Hornet is denoted with EXP500 and is noted as in the SAAC registry (per Pauls book). Casey

    GTCS on eBay

note the horse in the grill, no rear side reflectors and some huge rear wheels (i havent see these before). is it a cable release hood (note cable to right of center)? are the tail light panels supposed to be silver? ( :)just a little humor there....) nice looking car with a few...

    Good Mustang restorers in Wisconsin?

That is terrible. The guys that transported mine broke the vent window (actually it was an attempted break-in on their property). I know a guy in Twin Lakes, WI that does unbelievable work. I just had all my floor boards and rails done on my 66 convertible to show quality, and you cant tell...

    New California Special?

Add something different to the interior this time (since it was cut for cost in 68)? such as a cs plate, or other ideas? Casey

    Sixth (?) time's a charm

Interesting to note how the bidding went. It looks like it made it to $15K and then at the last moments shot up to $25k (supposedly to meet reserve???). See below. Casey mlclcoats8ht9 ( 106) US $24,999.00 Feb-06-05 01:32:39 mlclcoats8ht9 ( 106) US $24,999.00 Feb-06-05 00:16:14 mlclcoats8ht9...

    Paul's 96 Registry on Ebay

May I suggest some thoughts for the next book? 1. As has been discussed on the site before, can the cars be authenticated as true CS/HCS's? Kevin Marti may do this for a volume based fee as a part of entering the registry on this next book? This would add credibility, and maybe value to the...

    New California Special?

Paul, this is very creative. I bet the difficult part is the side scoop design? Interested in seeing your ideas on this one. BTW, Classic Design Concepts could get wind of this and do this fairly easily with an 05 Mustang - so we may want to be careful who we share the ideas with? Especially...

    GT/CS ebay price history

Mosesatm, Note these cars are from auctions 5 to 9 years ago (from what I can tell - sorry if I am wrong about that). A lot has changed in the collector car market in those years (ie, large price increases). Casey

    GT/CS ebay price history

After watching some of the cars on BJ auction, I think the one I would like to see up there would be Bob's 428CJ HCS. (Not trying to sell your car Bob :-) ). But that is the kind of car that would draw attention! But the problem is that the word has still not gotten out there to the collector...

    GT/CS ebay price history

Good catch and good info! I wonder if some of the high bid numbers not meeting reserve were of the same car not being sold (we have seen that with the green GT/CS several times recently). Either way, it is a guage of current prices on the average. Sorta interesting to see how many are being...

    Carroll Shelby Appearance

(sorry if this gets posted twice...i think i missed it the first time) I just found out through a local mustang club that Carroll Shelby is coming to the Volo Auto Museum here in Illinois on May 28 (presumably to pitch the prototype 1967 shelby convertible recently found - the sister to 'little...

    Salvage Titles

I could have sworn that I read on the posts somewhere that this car was sold to the present owner for something like $15k. I searched, but could not find it. Anyone else remember? Casey

    Rocker Molding Clips, again

As suggested by Dan, I have always snapped them on, rather than slide them on. (even on my 66 mustang which uses metal clips, and not plastic ones like on the 68). Not sure whether to do it from top or bottom as I have done it both ways successfully. And of course the front is anchored with...

    New California Special?

This would be very cool, and would be great recognition amongst the clubs and the MCA as I have mentioned before. The people on this site should be very involved in this as it unfolds. It is great to see the GT/CS and HCS recognized for the unique breed of pony that it is. If someone else...

    Stripe Experience

Steve's comments have me wondering. When I stand back and look at my GT/CS, the portion on the scoop looks a bit crooked to the rest of the stripes. I have also seen this on some of the cars in the gallery and on the calendar. It somewhat depends on the angle you are looking at the car. Yet...

    Georgia GT/CS in Autotrader

I did talk to Jim about this car before I bought my 289 CS out of California. Jim is really nice to deal with. He has the Marti Report and it is a real CS 390 2V from district 73 (Salt Lake City) which is a little unique. The 390 has been modified, and he thinks it is the original block. I...

    Marti Report for GT/CS

The Marti Report is the most definitive way to go, and California Special is spelled out on it as an option. If it is not on the Marti Report, then it is not a CS. I have never heard of it being otherwise. I presume the VIN numbers match on the dash on on the door? Casey

    6 Cylinder Cars

A resto mod would be cool to have. My wife wont drive either of the classics because she has forgotten how to drive a car without fuel injection, disc brakes, and good steering. (Well, the real story is she stopped driving them when I once yelled at her to steer around a water puddle in the...
