Thanks Marty. That makes perfect sense.

1968 Unusual Spark Plug Wire Separator

Well that would explain why it wasn't present on either of the 67s I had, and the other 68 was a little more 'worn' than the GT/CS is. Then it is correct for the car?

    1968 '68 radio installation question ...

If I may add to Al's post, we did compare the radio he purchased to the one in my car, which is a non-console GT/CS. As far as we could tell, the radio looks identical to mine, right down to the Philco branding.

1968 Unusual Spark Plug Wire Separator

This is something that I have been wondering about since I purchased my GT/CS last August. This is a California car, sold in San Francisco and lived in Sacramento for the first 43 years of its life. The plug wires on the right side of the engine are routed via a separator that I have never...

1968 Canadian Tire Show & Shine in Victoria June 9th 2013

Here's a picture of my GT/CS from a different angle. I really enjoyed having the car at its first car show and being able to show it alongside Al's car.

Great job Al. This is always a great show. Lots of fun showing the 'not quite' identical twins side by side.

Same here. Lower left windshield. My club decal is at the bottom, and the GT/CS decal right above it.

    . T-shirts

I am currently in touch with Guyman and have dibs on his last large t-shirt. I believe he has one XL left. Polo shirts sound interesting. These cars are so rare that I have never seen them featured on a t-shirt outside of the ones that come from this site.

    . T-shirts

I have heard a rumour that at one time there were t-shirts available from the website. Is there any chance that this might happen again? I'd be in for a couple.

1968 Need help, No Spark from Dist.

Ok, I just had my ignition switch go bad. The test is to put a 12volt test light probe to the positive (battery) post on your coil. With the battery hooked up, and no key in the ignition, you should NOT get a light on your tester. If it lights up, you are getting power to the coil when you...

I'm no mechanic, but I agree on putting points back in. That will give you a good idea as to the state of the Pertronix. I did have one fail.
