    1968 GT/CS Square 8 or Marchal?

    As MCA gold card judge I do not deduct for inconsistencies provided there is compelling documentation that it was delivered from the dealer that way. Often this type of documentation is difficult to come up with. I am certain that the dealer would have complied with the recall before the sale...

    1968 Restoration Plans in the Future

    Building a concours car can be the most rewarding thing you will ever do, also the most madding thing. They do not look that much different that any quality restoration but to get the details correct they can easily cost twice as much. The last one we restored the paint and body work cost 29K...

    No it is Boel Versetta stone. It is a cool system each panel is 8"X36" and 35lbs. it goes up quickly but the trips up and down will kill you. We in stalled the modular carpet squares in a bank last year and I really liked how it worked. Marty

    Something for Neil & Marty...

    Boy does that bring back the memories. I can almost smell the fresh dope and paint. There is nothing like the sound of a radial engine. I never worked on a Mono coupe but my boss use to talk about them. I like the bump cowl and wheel fairing on the plane in the old picture. Marty

    1968 Ammeter -> Volt Meter conversion + a "?"

    I connect them before I push the panel into it's place. The are suppose to be locks on each side of the connector but they are often broken. Marty

    1968 Door vapor barrier

    It was a material like 3M 8509 window glazing and bedding. I usually have enough left after the windshield to do the water shields. 3M black strip calk would work as well.

    1968 Windshield woes

    Neil you can buy the new black label Carlite with the top tint band at most any local glass shop for around $120. If you want a more correct white script Carlite label with a date code call PS Auto Glass in Janesville WI. Be prepared to pay around $275 plus shipping. Clear glass is hard to find...

    1968 trunk mat

    I have seen all three. Our HCS had the felt. IMHO the splatter was the most used and is what is in our HCS now. Marty

    1968 shoulder belt attach locations

    Nice drawing. A trick I use is to put screws in the hole then install the headliner. It will be easy to feel them through the new headliner, then just make a small cut and remove the screw. Marty

    ACC is the best manufacturer I have found. I think most cars had the speckle pattern.
