If you have the instrument panel out and with the wireing still pluged in check and see if you have voltage at one of light sockets if not unplug the conector and check the dash end for the blue red wire for voltage. Also check if the instrument cluster is grounded. Good hunting! Marty

    1968 HCS build dates

Hi Guyman, I am glad to know a true enthusiast has Curtis's other HCS. I love the Tahoe turquoise color and very nearly bought that car. It's a rare color on a rare car. Keep me posted on your progress. I am hopeful we can bring our HCS to the MCA national in Concord CA. I know that is not too...

    1968 Tranny shifting issues

Check the modulator valve. One that the vac line is on. Two check if there is any trany fluid in the line, if there is the valve has failed. Also check the fluid level in the transmission. I am no expert but have had a couple of experances with C4s. Marty

    1968 Dash pad options?

I have not seen a reproduction that I would not take at least 1 point off for the heavy grain, stiching or shape. I looked for two years for a red NOS or a good original. I finelly used a black original and dyed it red. That is what I would recomend. Black and blue originals seem to be a bit...

    . Roll call

Tim I understand now that I know that it was for sale. It is hard to muster the energy and dollars for a project that is just going to be sold any way. It is much like my silver car that was for sale that ran through the garage door. I just wanted it to go away. Best of luck dealing with the...

    1968 Modern Original Looking Tach

All you do is add a wire to coil for tach signal and change the oil pressure sender from a gage type to a light type. This is a much better system than the original where the ignition wire ran through the tach. If the Tach failed your car would not run. You can get them 6K or 8K and even for a...

    1968 Modern Original Looking Tach

Frank Fragello is the owner of Tribute Automotive, and good friend of mine. I can tell you this a great addition to your car. I tested a proto type in our 67 and it worked great! It only takes a few hours to install and does not require cutting or changing your original wiring. As a concouse...

    1968 Painting the grille

There are many shades of CB paint. For my HCS restoration I found the original paint on the very bottem of the grill where it was hidden from the sun light was very good. I had a paint store make a color match paint and put it in a rattle can. It worked out very well. I all so did the same...
