    1968 Owners Manual Envelope

I had one of those with a 67 coupe I owned a while back. It would be interesting to know if they are being reproduced.

1968 San Jose Quality Assurance/Paint Repair Ticket

That is really cool stuff. And a build sheet...I heard that San Jose didn't leave them in the cars very often.

For Sale New England Special on Ebay

My take is that it is merely a basic coupe dressed up with a stripe and dash graphics by a dealership. Lots of car lots do that kind of thing.

    1968 Score

I just won an eBay auction for a pair of Lucas fogs. Chrome housings, both lenses are "England" and everything appears to be in very good condition. My lights are great, but one lens is "Foreign Glass". Don't know why, but I was the only bidder. Got the set for $175 US, which is a pretty...

    1968 Starting problems

If you end up replacing the solenoid, be sure to get a good one. I ordered one through NPD, and on the second or third start, it kept spinning the starter. I called them up and they said "No problem, a new one will be on the way to you tomorrow." I replaced it and no issues whatsoever since...

I think I'd put my money on the ignition switch, assuming that all your connections are tight.

    1968 Bumper Guards

I've had two 67 cars and two 68s, one of which is the GT/CS. All four had chrome bumper guards on the front and painted ones on the back with the rubber strip. I agree with Neil in that I believe the chrome rear ones are an aftermarket item. I understand that the GT/CS cars mostly did not...

1968 Wheel (Rim & Tire) Insights and Advice

My "Back to stock" comment was only aimed at changing wheels and tires, not messing about with springs and ride height.

1968 Wheel (Rim & Tire) Insights and Advice

Wheels are not a big deal if you are thinking of originality. As long as you hold on to the originals, it really doesn't matter what you put on. Back to stock is so easy...

1968 Wheel (Rim & Tire) Insights and Advice

I'm with Mike on this one. I love the stock wheels (mine are argent) and BFG T/As. When I replaced the 60's that were on the car when I bought it, I went to the original size equivalent to my originals as per the Marti, which were E70-14's. The car looks "right" to me and drives wonderfully...

How cool to find and talk to the original owner. Most of them are long gone.

1968 What paint for the Lucas tube stands?

Bob Teets of the High Country Special Registry is the man with the hardware kits. He MAY sell you just the washers if that is all you need. When my shop did mine, they didn't know where the rubber washers were supposed to go, so they did not use them. It seems fine without them.
