    1968 Closest to NOS muffler?

Yes I looked at it, as Jeff said it is hard to tell if it is close to the orginial but does have the Ford logo. I think I would want one that looked newer, you will never get the oxidation off that one. Marty

1968 Need Feedback on Restoration Plans - Be Gentle

I am a MCA concours judge so you know where my personal allegiances are. I helped both of my boys build 67 & 68 driver cars. They were all over the map on color changes. I encoraged them to keep their orignial colors or at least choose a Mustang color. In the end they kept the orignial color...

    1968 Closest to NOS muffler?

Sorry Classic guy I forgot that you were looking for single exhaust. Jeff is right I do not think Scott has it yet. You might check with NPD and see what their muffler looks like. Marty

    1968 Closest to NOS muffler?

Speaking as a MCA gold cad judge Scott Fullers reproduction parts are nothing short of amazing. I have been looking a duel exhaust syestem from Scott and I want it real bad but the only thing stoping me from ordering it is the $2400.00. The last syestem I used was around $400.00 and I was very...

For Sale Yellow '68 GT/CS in San Dimas

I have not done one but have hear that it is expencive and you will lose your E brake. Unless you plan to race the car probbly not worth it as the front brake does about 75% of the braking. If you were doing a independant rear suspension conversion I would go all the way and go discs. Just my 2...

Wanted 68 orignial red dash pad

Thanks Neil I have dyed a few of them . I most likely will dye a red one if I find one to freshen it up. The problem of changing color is if you get a scratch or nick the other color shows. I may have to dye one of another color but that is a last resort but still better than the repro. Marty

Wanted 68 orignial red dash pad

I have 2 orignial blackdash pads and 1 blue orginial dash pad but I need a red one for the HCS. The reproductions fit ok but has too much texture on it. Thanks Marty

1968 Not specifically CS related... X codes...

Good question Oscar, We have a judges meeting in the fall of each year where there is a discussion about rule changes and additions. Not every small detail is in the rules or as you can imagine they would fill volumes. When we judge a concours car the judge sheet is 12 pages totaling 700 points...

1968 Not specifically CS related... X codes...

We will be there, my wife Tari is the MCA national show secretary. I will be judging and helping her in the tally room. I would like to meet you too. We are planning to fly so I won't have a car to worry about. I should have time for that soda. Marty

1968 Not specifically CS related... X codes...

That is very interesting and the Marti report proves it. I now wonder if a F code 2V 302 could have been eligable for GT status. As said above the only way to be a GT is to have the GT option. Good to know about the X code thanks guys. Marty

1968 Not specifically CS related... X codes...

A -X code could not be a GT in 68 all GTs had to have a 4V engine. Marty

    1968 It's saved....

Hey you guys are a little hard on us concours guys! I was only 11 when our cars were new so I could never have a new one. I love the look smell and feel of a brand new car so why not restore the car that we love as closely as possible back to that point? I think it is also important to have some...
