If you end up restoring the car please feel free to contact me, or many of the others on this site, for advice. The GT/CS has many weird little nuances that aren't obvious to the uninitiated.

This car looks great but I'm a little concerned that looks may be deceiving. Here are a few items I noticed using my laptop screen. - Floor seam under the car looks a little goofy (see photo) - Almost everything under the car is painted black - that usually means everything is old and worn out...

And don't forget the rear bolt, in front of the upper door hinge.

The GT/CS was produced and sold only in 1968. The '67 and '68 Shelby taillights are different, Cougar vs. T-Bird.

Something to keep in mind as you fight with the rear fiberglass parts is that they didn't fit correctly from the factory. For example one side of the deck lid is always higher than its end cap. Here's an example.

Please don't take my word for this but I'm pretty sure you shouldn't have a resistor. The pink wire coming out of the switch is a resistor wire so adding a ballast resistor is too much.
