The door tag is from a '68 but all the other vins show the '67 number. The seller told me that the it's titled as a '67. Whoever did the conversion did a good job.

Something like this may work to cover the plywood! https://www.limitlesswalls.com/shop/collections/nature.html Or maybe this. http://totalwallcovering.com/p56428/travertine.aspx

    Garage Walls

What's the best way to finish plywood, just primer and paint? Is 3/8 sufficiently thick?

    Garage Walls

This winter I'm working on the garage. Most of the wall insulation is installed and now I need to figure out a final wall finish. Any ideas? I'm thinking of FRP up to the 4' level, then plywood above that.

    1968 Checks under valve covers

    Sorry, I forgot we were discussing a 302 instead of a 289.

    1968 Checks under valve covers

The 289 from 1968 has large combustion chambers and a compression ratio of around 8.7. The 302 has much smaller chambers and higher compression of around 10.

    1968 Checks under valve covers

Of course, the stock 289 heads create such low compress they leave room for a little 'boosting'. 😜

    1968 Checks under valve covers

The guy that built my engine always recommends the Melling 24212 cam for daily driven small block Fords, as a good mix between performance and comfort.

    What else would you drive

    Probably a '72 Buick GSX, or maybe a '64 Chrysler 300.
