Repro grille ready to install ?

Even though the fog lights are pedestal mounted there should be brackets attached to the grille so if you're looking for a correct grille you'll need to attach the brackets to a '67 grille or have someone do the work for you. Somethingspecial (Mike) was going to build and sell correct grilles...

1968 Could this be a problem?

Tried that too. It appears that the key is actually too tall at the rear so the balancer doesn't slide all the way on. That may be why someone cut a new slot. When the new balancer arrives I'm going to measure everything and test fit it. If it is too tall in the rear I'll place a jack under...

1968 Could this be a problem?

So far I've I tried dikes, side cutters, and vice grips. The vice grips actually worked to grab the key but it wouldn't budge. That key really does not want to come out so if it's that happy there who am I to disturb it?!!!

    1968 CS Key Fob

Since the original California Specials were in a way anti-horse emblem Mustangs (the running horses were removed from the fenders and the grille) there may not be a GT/CS key fob available with a running horse.

That was back when we called them dikes. Are they still called that today?

The key is pretty well set into the crank so it will need some encouragement. What is the best encouragement method?

1968 Tail Panel Markings and Fabrication Detail

Sorry, I didn't realize you are not familiar with wrecking yards. They are amazing places where people (even original owners) purchase used parts. Since the parts are original and from the factory they normally fit properly and if the parts come from cars that are the same color as the car...

1968 Could this be a problem?

Agreed, and since the balancer is off I may as well also replace the timing chain and gears.

1968 Could this be a problem?

Rob, The key looks fine. I'm not sure that is damage. The edges look so crisp I wonder if someone didn't cut in a new slot, but I have no idea why.

1968 Could this be a problem?

I started my C-code to tune it up for a road test and I heard a knocking noise from the front of the engine. It didn't sound like a normal internal knock so I removed all the belts from the pulleys to see if the noise was coming from the water pump, power steering pump, or the alternator...

    1968 Wiring diagrams

The wiring for the fog lights should be the same as a GT, don't know about the tail lights.

    1968 Ongoing Discoveries

I'm installing a new Vintage Air system, using OEM controls and vents, in my non-AC car. The kit includes parts that replace the exiisting controls and vacuum hoses with electronic controls. I'm also using OEM vents just because I was lucky enough to have a complete unbroken set. Classic...
