    Friday Joke

WINTER Poem It's winter in North Dakota And the gentle breezes blow Seventy miles an hour At thirty-five below. Oh, how I love North Dakota When the snow's up to your butt You take a breath of winter And your nose gets frozen shut. Yes, the weather here is wonderful...

    1968 Is it a sin?

It still has the Keystones. I like the look so I'm going to leave them even though they are not correct. The long chrome tailpipes need to go away, though.

    1968 Is it a sin?

Paint it orange and people will mistake it for a Camaro, and that is the ultimate Ford owner insult. Here is the Okie Special.

    1968 Hood to Cowl Moulding

Are you asking about the rubber hood to cowl seal? If so, those little push pins things work OK but I like to also use weatherstrip adhesive.

That's a beautiful car. I looked at it a few years ago. Does the odometer still run backwards?

Agreed on the Brittany Blue. It's also quite rare.

    1968 Is it a sin?

IMO if you are going to keep the car forever paint it any color you want, but if you are concerned about its resale value a color change may turn off some potential purchasers therefore reducing the selling price, especially if it is a color not offered on '68 Mustangs.

1968 New diecast - Red GT/CS and Gold HCS

There seem to be 2 different gold HCS models (other than the green wheel thing). The only difference between the two is that one has a black vinyl top and the other does not. Here's a link to an eBay auction that offers both cars

Marty, weren't the padded rear quarters discontinued at some point, just like the knee pad and pillar pads?

    Spending time lately...

Rob, I bought an Epson Perfection V500 Photo scanner, specifically to scan negatives. It does a great job. The only difficult part is trying to figure out which way is up, and I usually get it wrong, but that's an easy fix with PhotoShop.

    1968 Exhaust system

Here's an article that reports the tests on various exhaust systems. Here's another one that concentrates on sound levels instead of horsepower.
