For Sale 1968 California Special on E bay

Mike, Side markers didn't come out until '68. As Rhonda mentioned, the recessed ones were used until February or March (can't remember exactly), then Ford switched to the bolt-on units as a cost saving measure. The front fenders are normal (Non-GT/CS) Mustang fenders with the script and...

For Sale 1968 California Special on E bay

Mike, Please note that if the speakers are cut into the ridge lines of the doors then the doors are toast. Replacement doors are an expensive fix, as is filling the running horse holes and repainting the fenders.

    1968 Breaks 101

Nope, no catastophe. Kept hearing a sound like a loose hub cap, but I don't have hub caps, so I put the car up on stands and spun each wheel until I found the culprit. Took off the drum and there it was, laying in the drum. Put it back on and started adjusting it outward but I had to turn it...

Here's a question for all you mechanically inclined folks. What happens when a properly working right side break adjuster is installed on the left side? That's right; it eventually falls off!!!

    1968 Mecum Auction Results

Completely agree. Fake CS convertibles just don't look right to me, which seems strange because I drool over '68 Shelby convertibles. Highland Green of course. The problem certainly does seem to be the side stripes. Without the roof the stripes look too high and they make the car...
