1968 Aftermarket a/c- keep or toss?

Amy, when you replace the core you may want to spend $15 and install a seal kit. The seal kit is basically a bunch of foam pieces that plug most of the gaps in the case. You need to open the case to get the core out anyway so it really isn't any extra work to install the new foam.

    What is Your Car History?

Here are a few from the late '70s. Drove my father's '72 GMC until I bought the '50 Buick, then the GT/CS.

1968 A new kid in town

Jack, welcome to the site. Here you will find anything and everything GT/CS and HCS related. I think one of the quickest ways to learn about all the special features on our cars is to check the cars on eBay for flaws. Or post the threads here and we'll point them out for you! For...

    . Simple Theft Prevention

Pretty easy for the theives to figure out why it won't start. The fake wire should confound them enough to hopefully give up.

    . Simple Theft Prevention

Fake coil wire made from some vacuum hose and a couple spark plug wire ends. A better method is to use a real spark plug wire or coil wire so it matches the rest of the wires, but cut off and tape over the wires.

15K Mile '68 Mustang Sprint NJ

If I remember correctly the sprint package was more-or-less the GT appearance parts (wheels, tires, stripes, gas cap) on a non-GT car. Maybe someone else has an exact list of the package components. Edit to Add: Here is a link to a Mustang Monthly article about the Sprint B package

    1968 Exhaust Options

My engine builder keeps telling me I should run headers on my car to increase power, mileage, blah, blah, blah. Increasing power and mileage is certainly important to me but I want the car to sound mature and sophisticated rather than loud and hollow (Personality analogy unintended) so I am not...

    British TV Car Programmes

There are a couple shows on DHDTV (Discovery HD TV) that I am hooked on, but probably for the wrong reasons. I watch them with the fascination that some people have for train wrecks, which is appropriate because they are figurative train wrecks! The shows are called "Auto Trader", and "Wheeler...

    eBay - '68 Highland GT/CS

WG, there are ways to get more room in a GT/CS as long as you're not overly concerned with the car being 100% concours correct. Install a smaller steering wheel, lower the seat pedestals (is that the correct word?), and/or install lower seats. My 1st GT/CS had '64 T-bird seats in it and they...
