ADMIN - Submit your pics for the 2009 Calendar! - Deadline Sept 15, 2008

It's so colorful and dimensional that it overpowers the picture and take away from the car. When I looked at the picture I noticed the barn before the car. From what I've read the car should be the focal point in front of a background that is pleasant but forgettable.

    Red Oxide Primer

Here's an interesting article about Mustang underside colors. Apparently the red oxide primer was mixed 50/50 with whatever extra paint Ford had at the time so there is not one true color. Anything between brown and pink should work.

    Console help

They show up on eBay from time to time. Here's one but it's a little on the expensive side.:icon_pani http://www.cougarpartscatalog.com/c8zb-6504567-a.html I may have an extra. If you give me a few days I'll take a look and see if I do. As far as I know they are chrome, for some reason.

    Rust Colored Plugs Valves Pistons

I think that term can mean different things to different people. I always thought the deck height on a Windsor engine was around 8".

What color stripes should I have?

Since no-one has presented any solid evidence of the connection between the two it's probably prudent to consider it only a guideline. For black or white interiors it seems to be a pretty good guideline but how about my car which is aqua with an aqua interior?

    Reflector Bezel Gasket

Bump Does anyone know the history of these pads? For example did all late '68 Mustangs have them. I read somewhere that the pads were discontinued after a few months so not all Mustangs with this style of reflector had the pads. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

    Wheels

Neil, I'm running 235-60s on the rear (26.1") and 215-65s (26.0") on the front. I didn't want fat tires on the front because I removed the power steering. If you want the rear to look little higher you could go with shorter tires on the front.

What color stripes should I have?

There is no way to tell for sure unless you can find remnants of the old stripes, but with a black interior odds are the stripes were also black.

What color stripes should I have?

Most likely white or black. Does the car have a vinyl top? If so, what color is it? If not, what color is the interior?

California special vs High country special

The 1968 cars are identical except for 2 items. The HCS does not have the "California Special" script on the quarter panels, and it has 'badges' on the side scoops instead of the letters "GT/CS".

    Freudian Slip

This has to be the ultimate Freudian slip for a vintage mustang owner. 1968 Mustang for sale. I have had it for 4 years and its time to pass it on to the next person to enjoy it as much as I have. It has a 289ci V8 two barrel carb with just over 56,000 original miles, automatic, interior close...
