    Newest '68 Bumper Idea

It didn't look like a Mustang in the thumbnail so I wanted to see what it was. It actually was a Mustang!

    Engine Repair Question

Paul I am hoping they will discover the problem when they tear down the engine. When they do I'll certainly post the results here. They are going to rebuild the existing engine if it can be rebuilt. It seems to be a good, tight engine so I'm hoping for just a re-hone and rings. Talk about...

    Engine Repair Question

I'm sort of considering the NW....sort of. Can't get much longer of a road trip and still be in the States; 2200 miles, 35 hours of driving, and around $350 worth of gas EACH WAY. Definitely need to get my door speakers and rear shelf speakers installed before then.

    Engine Repair Question

Took the car to Vintage Upgrades and Performance, a local company that upgrades and finishes-out Superformance Cobras. They are going to rebuild the engine and the transmission, including the flexplate, and torque converter. They are also going to weld up the shock tower grease holes and...

We recently talked about this. Try running a search on styled steel wheels or something similar and see what pops up. I'll see if I can find the thread, too.

    Nani is a Thief

Spent nearly an hour last night looking for one of my Lucas fog light pedestal bolts. I was sure I placed it right next to me on the garage floor, but then I thought maybe I put it on the bench. So I cleaned up the bench; nothing. Went back to the car and crawled all around under it, then...

Grill detailing part 2 revised grill color

The correct color is Ditzler (PPG) 32930 or Dupont 9426. It was also used on '71 Fords. '67 Styled steel wheel paint is a good alternative and, in fact, may be the same color, but that has not been confirmed.

    GT/CS display

There were 3 GT/CSs and either 6 or 9 HCSs sold with 428s in 68. The 3 GT/CSs are accounted for. Don't know how many of the HCSs are still missing. HCBob????

    Rear Seat Arm Rests

I have a pair of Cougar arm rests that I think may just fit with the proper motivation. I agree they look better than the big Ford arm rests.

    Engine Repair Question

Steve and Paul, Great advice. I never thought of an exhaust problem. All that back-pressure could make for terrible noises. Found a new clue today. As I pulled the car out of the garage to run and errand I heard a rattle and figured the license plate was loose. It wasn't, but one of the...

    Interesting pic

Couldn't let you off the hook that easy! Rhonda, If it is Joe's car, and I'm not saying it is, I'm pretty sure he wasn't playing with his speedometer since I've seen it pegged, er, I mean I've heard stories of it being pegged from time to time, I mean pegged once, only once, and that...

    S Code...Before ...After to follow

Here's a list that will get people started. If it has an automatic transmission the seals may be dried up, which normally requires a rebuild. Replace ALL fluids. The obvious one are coolant, gasoline, and oil but also think about changing the fluids in the differential, transmission, power...
