Just a General Question about 1968 Ford Mustang

Wow, this is one for the real experts. All my decoders show that the car was exported (DSO 90) but none of them can find the "S". So the VIN starts with "8S..."?

    safety belts

I think Dallas Mustang specializes in reconditioned Mustang seat belts but IMHO they are expensive. There are always 3 or 4 sets or partial sets on eBay too.

    Recent Marchal Auctions on eBay

If they are 656s I don't think they should have 653 stamped on them. From what I can tell 651,652,652,656 and 658 all used the same, or very similar, housings. The only difference seems to be the lenses.

    rear window crank-coupe

Here are a couple pages from the NPD catalog. The longer ones are probably just a different year. Those longer handles might make raising the windows easier.

    rear window crank-coupe

Just when I thought we had resolved all the window crank handle issues and all was right with the world I found 2 handles in my box of car-purchase stuff that are different lengths. Anyone know what that's all about? Is the longer one from a '69 maybe?

I agree about the console. It must have already been there when the dash artist bought the car! I'm surprised he or she didn't paint the console white. Even the inside of the glove box is white!!!!
