It's a crying shame that someone of such profound wisdom and intellect sold out and is now peeing on various things to the amusement of some.

Are Asking Prices Going Up for GT/CS ?

The car I bought was advertised for $17,900 or $18,900 can't remember which and I bought it for $10,000 so I can testify that the asking price does not always have any relation to the selling price. Another point I think we need to consider is wheter the asking prices are rising because the...

Wanted to buy a CS - NEED ADVICE (posted pics)

BTY I forgot to mention that the dash is out of a '67. The '67 deluxe dash was aluminum while the '68 deluxe dash was wood grain. Not a big deal to change it out but just another bargaining point.

The Mustang script is correct. GT/CSs do not have the running horse emblems.

Wanted to buy a CS - NEED ADVICE (posted pics)

Re:Wanted to buy a CS - NEED ADVICE If all the VIN plates show the same numbers it's probably real. Listed below are the things I normally look for. Metal caps covering the taillight sockets A complete wiring harness for the taillights. There should be no splices. Poorly fitting fiberglass...

another of my dumb questions - console light

The chrome bezel around the light is held in with spring clips along the outer edge. Just stick a screwdriver in the slot in the inner edge and pry it off.

    Front Bracket for Upper Console

Does anyone have anything they can post that shows where and/or how, on the roof, to attach the front bracket for an upper console? I think I know how it attaches but just want to make sure before the headliner goes in. Thanks

    GT/CS CJ

Here is a link to 1968 428 CJ production. http://www.428cobrajet.org/production.html The San Jose plant equipped 171 Mustangs with 428 CJs in 1968. There were 1299 total CJs in 1968 out of 317,404 total Mustangs produced for a rate of .41%. If we extrapolate that number to GT/CS production...

    Monte Carlo Bar

I thought about the old car movement factor too but it doesn't seem to apply to this case. The main problem with Bill's bar is that the angle of the brackets seem to be incorrect. When we lined up the holes on the vertical part of the inner fender the rear portion of the bracket that rests on...

    GT/CS CJ

The way I read Bob's first post regarding Kevin's statements, Kevin says there are 9 HCS 428CJs. Kevin doesn't seem to be including the GT/CSs because he said there are 251 built. Since the 251 applies only to HCSs I assume the 9 also applies to only HCSs. It looks like, from Kevin's...

    GT/CS Trunk Lids uneven ??

Most original cars do not have enough adjustment to fix all the rear panel alignments. That is one way to tell a real GT/CS from a clone. If the panels fit like an 8-year old installed them it's probably real. You've probably also noticed that the dirvers side end cap is a little crooked and...

    Looking for quality gt/cs

I think he would go down to $12K if he had to. He will put new tires on it with styled steel wheels. It's a fairly basic car with no options to speak of but for the price.....
