ISO car cover for '68 GT/CS

Got mine from California Car Cover also. I bought the Noah brand and am very happy with the fit and texture of the material. I also bought one of their car dusters it works really good also.

What color stripes should I have?

I found original stripe remnants at the inside of the forward edge of the door on both sides, you might look there. Another place you could look carefully might be the scoops

    Is this GT/CS in Registry?

I would mail Paul Newitt the Marti Report as soon as possible. It might not be to late to get one more unknown GT/CS in the registry book.

Placement of Mustang Scrip on front quarter panel

I also think it looks a bit busy. Maybe locate it between the body counter and the bottom of the fender, keeping the script parrallel with the body counter.

Some Writers Just Make Stuff Up

I guess it's just me. I'm guessing he wrote the article, waited about three months for it to sink in and then started showing it to owners while he was searching for the discount price on that shabby old GT/CS he was trying to buy. You better just give it to me before you start having problems

    Running on Empty...

When I get a new old car I always take a small (full) gas can with me and find out what the gauge reads when I run out of gas. it's not a good idea to do that with the new fuel injected models though. Some gauges will go down past the E, some don't. In doing this you will find out if the gauge...

    Speedometer Gauge Range Marking

I used flourescent orange paint purchased at thte local hobby shop. I left the range your talking about alone cuz I didn't want to mess it up. Tape is a good idea. Be very gentle painting the needles, you don't want to bend or distort them. It's a good project because it really makes a big...

    rear quarter panels 67 vs 68 ??????

I had the understanding that the 67 and 68 panels were different not only due to the 67 cut outs but also the contours were slightly different. Your scoop should fit the new panel, if not perfectly it should at least be close. All of the 68's would have used the same panel as stated before...
