    Deck lid paint mark

The mark appears to be on top of the primer. Were the deck lids and fiberglass pieces primed before shipping?

    Deck lid paint mark

The DSO is 71, Coberly Ford in Los Angeles. The mark was under the paint. Paul, Good thought, any old photos of these deck lids on pallets? You propbably wouldn't see a mark but you should be able to tell if they are bottom side up or not.

    Deck lid paint mark

I kind of like the easter egg option. I thought it was interesting that it was under the original paint but the stripper didn't effect it.

    Deck lid paint mark

While Arlie and I were stripping paint this weekend we came across this mark on the underside of the deck lid. (or the boot lid for some of you). Has anyone else found one of these?

    Your questions/comments for book interviews

I have one question you may already have the answer to. We all know they recalled the Marchal foglights and installed Lucas foglights. Cars that were previously sold, notices were sent to the owners (would like to see a copy of the notice) stating they needed to change, for free no less!! My...

    Fog Light Identification

I've been curious for a while also so I did the check. The Speedstar light will NOT fit in the Marchal housing. The Marchal light did fit in the speedstar housing but is to small to seal against the housing lip. In this photo the Marchal light is in the Speedstar frame and held flush and...

Hey y'all, this week marks my 2 year anniversary. That would be 2 years from when I first started to take my GT/CS apart. It's coming along slow but sure. I've been very happy with the pace. I'm right on schedule cuz I don't have one. lol I updated my gallery to give y'all an idea of where...

    GT/CS Side Scoops on E-bay

O.K. right up front, their mine. I found a pair that didn't need any work to use on my car so I decided to sell these. http://tinyurl.com/yebp5g

    Hood Holes--factory assembly question.

Here's another photo that shows the burs on both top and bottom. I stopped by the salvage yard to pick up a small bracket today and looked at a trashed hood that was peeled apart. The hood was painted after the pieces were put together. No doubt about this at all. Normally hidden pieces...

    Hood Holes--factory assembly question.

Paul, just checked the holes in my hood. My hood was drilled bottom side up and top side down. I also checked to see if there were any score marks from the larger hole saw on the bottom side of the hood top. Nope. From looking at the bottom of the hood, I would believe they drilled those hole...

    Brake line mount question

My stock bracket looks different. It has one hole in the middle and then a tab that sticks into the one hole. The other hole is unused. My car was built as a drum/drum car. This was the best photo I could get without removing the bracket.

    Wiper motor replacement

You might check out Rain-X. The stuff really works well. You might find you don't mind the slow wipers. (for as often as you drive it in the rain) Try it on your dialy driver, wait for rain or have someone spray the window with a hose.

A little info on the 3rd 428 California Special

I think the dark color pin stripe on the lighter color car distracts from the side stripes. On the flip side, My hands shake a little, so if you like that squiggly look on your pin stripe I can accomodate you. :) Bill

    Radiator Paint

I used to drive back and forth between Louisiana and Texas a lot at night. I would always encounter what I would call the Louiasiana bug rain. I tried using Pam no stick cooking spray to make things come off the front of the truck a little easier. BIG MISTAKE. I ended up keeping a bottle of...

Curious to get thoughts on Seller eBay error

Based on information given, I side with the buyer. He may have looked at it and said Whoa! and hit the buy it now. How can you blame a guy for that. He may have looked at it and thought "This has got to be a scam, hell it will only cost me $45 to find out" I would be surprised if he thought...

Front Suspension- Upper control Arm Shaft question

Those holes were added after the fact. You are lucky they did a nice job. Mine were torched. I chose to fill in the holes for a factory look. With the holes there you should have the clearance you need.
