    Side Scoop mounting help

Just went out and tried to take a pic from the inside, it didn't come out. I think the hole was drilled. It has a very small burr on the inside, similar to the burr on the inside of the holes in the rear panel for our brake lights. As far as drilling holes on a brand new panel, the dealers...

    Power Brake Pedal

The power pedal actually mounts higher in the frame. If you look farther up (about 3 inches you will see a hole or a dimple for one. That's where the pedal for power brakes mounts. Opps, looks like you already have it mounted there. No help here

    Supporting Our Troops

We eat fish heads and rice cakes in my home now. How many Iraqi restaurants do you see around? in my opinion their food sucks. If it were good, you would see lots of Iraqi restaurants despite the war. The difference is Freedom, Safety and value of life, not food. I for one am proud to be...

Going to rebuild the original 289 for my car

For those of you who are running the original air cleaner on your cars and would like just a little more umff for general cruising. Flip the lid of your air cleaner upside down when not at shows. On my 67 with a 289 in it this little trick raised my top end from 105 to 110. It's just a way to...

    Barbecue Joke

Panchito and Pedro worked together and both were laid off, so they went to the unemployment office. When asked his occupation, Panchito answered, "Panty Stitcher. I sew da elastic on da ladies' cotton panties." The clerk looked up Panty Stitcher. Finding it classified as "un skilled labor"...

    Hinge Pins

Thanks Paul, The pins I bought each have two bushings with them. My hinges are not on the car yet and I thought it would be the time to do it before I mounted the doors. They are primer grey at the moment so a little scratch or two shouldn't be too big a deal.

    Hinge Pins

I picked up two sets of door hinge pins the other day and have been looking at tech articles on replacing them. They seem to indicate it's an easy replacement. Have any of you replaced the hinge pins and if so are there any tips you can pass along? Thanks in advance Bill

Installed the mini tach where the clock goes

Ditto: I went to a local chain called Micheals. I also bought a fine point artist brush to make certain I didn't get any paint where it didn't need to be. I wasn't brave enough to try and paint the outside arc of the speedometer face. Here is a before and after photo, you can see the color is...

Installed the mini tach where the clock goes

Casey, wanted to reiterate what Jason said. Now is a good time to repaint your needles, old and new tach needles will match that way for certain. Slide a piece of paper gently underneath and be very careful. It'll look great when your done. I used a flourescent red for mine which matched...
