Real or Fake California Special ? ? Help

I just pulled my Marti Report out of the plastic sheet and looked real carefully from the back. It appears my Marti Report was signed by hand. The signature is in blue ink and the name Kevin Marti below was printed in black ink. The paper is Classic Linen, white in color. The sticker with the...

Real or Fake California Special ? ? Help

This is something I don't remember ever being mentioned before. If the car has been painted, look on the inside door edges. The original stripes were still on the inside edges of my doors.

    2008 GT/CS

P-51, You are correct in your assumption. There is no such thing as a bad set of hooters. The only exception I would think would be when you press the activation buttons and no sound comes from the vehicle. Of course when this happens some serious time must be spent investigating the cause of...

How much did you pay for your Special?

I paid 5,000 for mine. 25,000 miles and all original parts still on the car (except scoops and hubcaps in trunk). Sat next to a barn/shop for 20 years and was home to an unkown number of rodents for obviously quite a while. Status, still working on it and never have driven it......

    Stolen air filter!

I think thyey should treat car thieves much more harshly. Make it legal to shoot car thieves and see what happens to the amount of cars ripped off. Cut off their damn hands or something. Until we stiffen up the laws these Aholes will continue to take our cars or things from/off our cars. It's...

    Wiring diagram

Look for a tag attached to the gear housing right next to the bellhousing on the passenger side of the car. If it's there it will have information indicating type, service ID code and date of manufacture.

Very cool site! If you would like a photo of the back of the instrument cluster let me know. Mine is still out of the car and it would be no problem.

    concorse knowledge needed, anyone?

Sign me up for a Margarita too. I have opposing feelings on this post. If one is indeed being lazy and not bothering to punctuate or write complete sentences to the dismay of the educated individuals who frequent this site then yes, I too find it annoying and at times difficult to read. On...

    Headers

The last time I installed a set of headers I soaked them in a bucket of water for about 15 minutes prior to installing them. Then after installing I brought the engine up to temp then retightened all the header bolts (watching out for my fingers) all of them were loose again. Then I shut it...

    Crash And Burn

What a bummer. That's the good thing about these 68's as opposed to say a 2005. The older cars were made to hold up and beat the hell out of the passengers. The newer cars will crumble around the passengers leaving the people AOK but the car mashed. Unless you live in Texas and drive a pick...

    In case you were wondering?

I paid $78 for the seat. I had already planned to use the front buckets and wanted the interior to match. The earlier late model seats are a different size. Who looks out the rear view? As you can see in the photo, you can see enough out the rear to see what's going on. I don't think it...

    In case you were wondering?

In case anyone was wondering if the seats from a 2005 Mustang would fit. Here are a couple prelim photos. I don't have the front seats yet. If anyone has a scoop on the front buckets please let me know.
