1968 Best way to strip paint from fiberglass trunk, tail light panel & scoops?

Yes, it's original paint, but it's mostly gone on the outside surface of the trunk. What's left is pretty chalky. I might start with just some hand block sanding and see how it goes. The underside of the trunk has good paint, so I'll just scuff and paint over it. Same with my tail light cover...

1968 Best way to strip paint from fiberglass trunk, tail light panel & scoops?

What's the best way to strip paint off our factory fiberglass parts like the trunk lid, trunk extensions, tail light panel and side scoops? I've been browsing some Corvette forums since they have all fiberglass panels, but I'm seeing some conflicting info. Some say to stay away from chemical...

    Interior,New Dash Plaque,

I moved the thread Neil, so we're good continuing the discussion here. Not sure why it was in the "Restoration" section in the first place actually.

Here are the photos for this year. Since we have exactly the number needed, I won't set up the voting this year. I'll just get each of the 12 owners' preference on month and work it out from there. Thanks again everyone! https://californiaspecial.com/calendar2024.htm

Thanks everyone! We have 10 photos submitted. If @cmacias24 can get one in the next day or two we'll have 11. So hopefully we can get one more. I wish I had a pic of my '68 HCS to help fill in that last spot, but it's completely torn apart in the garage right now. I'll check if Dan Teets has...

Anyone can create a poll, but it has to be done when creating a new thread. You can't add a poll as a post in the middle of a conversation.

    1968 Ford California Special patch

Definitely not a factory or Ford produced item. This is just someone creating patches and selling them. See the other items for sale by that ebay seller. All variations of the same thing.

Anyone a Ford employee? Do they still do the "X-plan" discount for new cars like they used to?

The last time I bought a new Ford (my F-150 back in 2014) I had a Ford employee generously give me a PIN for "X-plan" pricing. He's since retired, but I'm wondering if the "X-plan" process still works the same. The special pricing wasn't a huge discount, but eliminated all negotiations and cut...

1968 Power steering pump paint source? (referred to as "dark blue" or "teal")

Yeah, I just now took the housing off the PS pump so I could clean it better, and there was a lot of clear silicone around the main O ring. I'm guessing the factory did not use sealant. That combined with the missing tag suggests this pump has been rebuilt by the previous owner. The blue color...
