    1968 Prepping for media blasting

My son and I are getting the HCS ready for media blasting. We're not completely disassembling to put on a rotisserie. We'll trailer it to the shop on 4 wheels with all the drive train installed and in running condition. The plan is to remove the hood, front fenders, front valance, grille, etc...

1968 Lucas fog light wiring connector?

I'm disassembling the front end of my '68 HCS so I can do some sheet metal repair under the battery tray (where it's corroded/rusted away to swiss cheese). As I was unplugging the Lucas fog lights I was a little surprised that the wiring connector wasn't the typical single piece rubber on both...

1968 Got the HCS running again after a bit of carb trouble

My son and I have once again started working on my '68 HCS. We finished installing the rebuilt power brake booster from Booster Steve (formerly Booster Dewey?), which has been sitting in it's box now for 2 years. (see my earlier brake thread) We got the new brass distribution block and all...

For Sale GT/CS Tribute (Sort of) Convertible

What does that side scoop say? GT/DP? As in "drop top"? I always like when these pop up. With unlimited funds I'd definitely make one. The fact that a special edition car made specifically for California wasn't available as a convertible has always seemed like a missed opportunity to me. It's...

    1968 My Cobra engine parts

Agreed that those should will look good. Any bolt-on parts are a pretty safe bet as long as you keep your originals in case you or a future owner wants to revert back in the future.

The switch to the new forum software in mid December went pretty well, but I do know a lot of you lost your passwords. A few people emailed me about issues logging in, and hopefully they've all been resolved now. So everyone please do me a favor and just check in by replying in this thread...

ADMIN 2023 CaliforniaSpecial Calendars are now on sale!

Those are nice. I was going to guess the classic Torq Thrust D, but I actually like the Vision wheel a little better. Slightly cleaner lines.

    1968 1968 mustang defogger

I'm interested in this project too. When I was 16, my very first car was a plain Jane 1968 Mustang coupe, 200 cid 6 cylinder. I lived in cold country, and immediately noticed the rear window would fog up. So my first upgrade was adding a rear defogger. I used a cheapo version out of the JC...

How do I upload a photo to my post here in the forums? With the new forum software as of Dec 2022, attaching photos to the forum is now much easier! You can now copy and paste photos directly into a post! This is HUGE! This can be done from several sources, including a file on your computer...

    1968 Driverside fresh air vent

Sorry. I just realized the links I provided above are for the seal between the vent housing and the cowl. Not the smaller ring that goes on the actual flap inside the vent.

    1968 Driverside fresh air vent

Are you talking about the round foam gasket? Here are a few links, although not with the greatest customer reviews. Maybe there's a better one that's rubber instead of foam, but I couldn't find it. Mine is so disintegrated that I can't tell if it was originally foam or rubber...

ADMIN Welcome to the new forum software! - List of improvements

Glad you got logged in Dave. Sorry if you had to jump through some hoops. Immediately after the forum upgrade my email went down, so I wasn't aware people were having issues logging in. The email problem is fixed, so the password reset process now works again.
