For Sale Found on Sacramento Craigslist

I was amused by the part which stated "A rich older lady bought it and was chauffered in the back seat." There really isn't that much room in the back seat. I could understand being chauffered around in the front passenger seat - but the back seat. Somewhat uncomfortable. Bill

1968 Console Base - Two Types

Russ, I been told the 67 & 68 consoles are different - the 68s have padding while the 67 does not; so it looks like there is an additional difference - with or w/o AC. If these are 68s, would you be interested in selling the non-a/c one since you stated it would not fit. And what would be...

. Yakima WA show this weekend-I-90 delays

Amy, Yep, I will still be going. I use the 410 Chinook Pass route when I head to Eastern Washington. The word has gotten out about the construction and some are using Hwy 2 through Leavenworth then down to Ellensburg; or the same route as I; or Hwy 12 over White Pass depending on where they...

. Photos from IMM in Billings, MT

Here are a few photos I took at the 31st International Mustang Meet in Billings, MT, the weekend of 4-7 September 2009. I didn't get around to taking photos of the late model GT/CS's. I barely remembered to take photos of the 68 California Specials. It was quite warm - hot for a western...

    . Northwest get together?

Which Special are you bringing? Just got back from Billings, MT, and staying with a friend in Canada; then down to Oak Harbor for the show there this Saturday. Then back home by Monday. I took a few photos of the 68 Cal Spec classes (Stock & Modified); but forgot to take photos of the late...

Sorry I didn't see this message sooner. I usually view as a 'Guest' then logged on when I want to make a comment. To answer your question, yes there is the hose attachment on the air cleaner snout. I goes back to the vacumn control at the rear of the intake manifold.

. Kruise of Klamath - Oregon

Amy, that's great. I'll see you there. Barb Alvarez and her gang usually show up in their classes, so you might want to check with her to see when she is leaving so you won't have to travel alone. I'm in the process of cleaning my Special to participate in the Judge show this weekend in...

    . 30th International Mustang Meet

I will be there also - both in Billings, I have registered and have a hotel room; and to Red Deer next year. I have enjoyed the IMM since the first one I attended in Cody, WY in 1999. I did not attend the Saskatoon one in 2000, but was there last year. Hope to see you all in Billings. Bill

. Kruise of Klamath - Oregon

Amy, I've been in Canada the last couple weekends, I didn't see the post for the Port Townsend show until it was too late. BTY on August 9th there is the Pierce County Mustang Show at South Hill Mall, Puyallup, in the Sears parking area. There are separate classes for the Factory Specials...

    Carburetor

I don't know if the auto-choke on yours is the same as on my Autolite 4bbl which works off the exhaust, but I had the same problems a couple weeks ago. My Special would not go into fast idle upon starting. I tried to move it manually and it acted as if it was hung up. When I took off the...

    1968 Car Alarms

I had read this thread about securing ones Mustang. A canadian friend of mine has a lock attached to the hood release mechanism. I was up at his place this past weekend and took some photos of it. It's basically the same type of locking device used on a glass display case. From what I...

    GT/CS & HCS Magazine Articles

Arlie, I just received the CD and magazine you sent. Thanks again. Also, I was watching RTN (Retro Television Network) a couple days ago and saw a 68 Blue Caifornia Special on an episode of the A-Team. (RTN has old shows like Emergency, Adam-12, Dragnet, Air Wolf, Quincy MD, and such.)

Do you have the actual magazines/articles? If so the August 2002 Mustang Monthly article on the Acapuco Blue is on mine. I would greatly appreciate a copy if it is possible. I currently have a copy which I display at car shows, but it is starting to fade and I need to get a good copy so I can...
