For Sale The Worst Clone I Have Ever Seen

To me it looks like an $8K coupe with $500 dollars worth of aftermarket parts on it. For some reason, to me, the wheels and tires make the thing look hideous in the side shots. Steve

1968 Trouble shooting brakes & booster

My understanding of the distribution block, and someone can correct me if they want, is that if you have a failure in either the front or rear brake system, the piston moves to block that side so you can maintain braking pressure in the other side. Once the failure is repaired, and you are ready...

Even missing the fog lights and hood pins, that looks like a good deal for someone. Steve

    Another Bad Idea?

No. I'm still waiting for the lame a** contractor to finish my shop. He's concentrating on stuff that pays more and only working on mine when he has time. Unfortunately, I put down a hefty deposit for materials, which I probably wouldn't get back if I fired him. Steve

    Another Bad Idea?

I wish I had the money or the skill it took to create that. I would have put it to better use. Steve

    SOLD Highland Green GT/CS

I still miss mine, but with all the things I need to do on the new house and property, and the fact I live on a gravel road now, it wouldn't get driven as much as it needed anyway. Steve

. The 25 Greatest Mustangs, per Hagerty

I have to jump in with some trivia. I saw the original Gone in 60 Seconds at a drive in while sitting in an R code '72 Mach 1. I went through a set of tires that night after the movie. For years I thought Eleanor was a '73 because of the grill. Several years ago, #1 son bought me a DVD of the...

For Sale X code on EBAY - not in Reg?

I really like the color they painted it, even though I'm usually a "stock" kind of guy. I'm just a sucker for the dark silver/light grey colors. If I wasn't dealing with a host of issues right now, I'd be seriously looking at it. Steve

    1968 Engine Identification

When I say he brought it to me, I should have said he came to me and asked me to fix it. It was transported to my house on my car trailer because he couldn't keep the motor running, decided he was going to fix it, started taking the engine apart and figured out he didn't know what he was doing...

    1968 Engine Identification

I think the manufacturers were trying to make the engines more "reliable". So many people don't know how to adjust rockers, or want to. They just want to get in and drive. I saw a 350 chevy with two rows of bent pushrods and a new cam with flattened lobs because the guy misunderstood what...

Not at the moment. I've been focusing on getting my wife through cancer and getting her dream house built. I haven't turned a wrench in a year and a half. Steve

    1968 Help with drum brakes

You can buy an inexpensive press at Harbor Freight that will work, but it sounds like you're having trouble getting the drum itself off. It might be that your drums are worn and there is a ridge on the inside edge, keeping them from slipping over the brake shoes. There should be a slotted hole...
